Good to see Klecker make the team. Must be the On sponsorship of letsrun that had me rooting for him. And nice to see Rupp congratulating some people - he seems human now.

Somebody with the standard needs to take control of the race or else they will get caught in traffic and not qualify.
Standard guys want this to be slow, no? if the top 3 have no standard then standard guys get the spots right
Not really sure what I was trying to say. Was thinking that the guys with the fastest times needed to take control or the slower guys with the standard would take it.
No transplanted Africans.
All the feels for True. A valiant effort from one of my personal favorites.
Pumped for Klecker! Way to go Joe!
Kinkaid 53.4
Fisher 54.5
Klecker 54.5
True 58.6
Mantz 58.7
Rupp 59.0
No kick from anyone else.
Rupp last among the people strong enough to hang on.

Agonizing 4th. More agonizing cause of burrito doubts now.

You gotta feel bad for Marty Hehir, getting lapped!
So bummed for Ben True.

Dammit. Ben True looks crushed. Knew that if it came to a kick he couldn't stick with the young guns.
I feel so bad for True. Is he in the 5k??
What Spikes Is was Klecker wearing?
Blogger with an absolutely perfect take on these results: predicts 1-2-3 and that Ben True will go home "devastated"

Would be unbelievably frustrated if I were True

Very happy for Klecker. The BTC guys, not so much ...

Seconded. If Fisher makes the 5k team, will he do the double or just run one or the other? Silver lining is that there is a chance that Fisher doesn't run the 10k and True gets his spot - correct me if I am wrong.
Seemed to just be a good all around solid race. Top 7 under 28:00. Wound up that last 1K. Fisher looked smooth but I wonder if it would have gone a little harder earlier on if he would have won. Seems to be more of a grinder. I swear Klecker reminds me of Bob Kennedy running. Tall, smooth, focused whole way. Not a big Rupp fan, but got to give it to him for mixing it up and running under 28:00 when not really training for a 10K. Props to him for mixing it up. He still ran like 2:02 last 800m with the rest of them. Feel for True, but go make money on the road scene. Same with some of the others.
Also thought it was wild that Reid Buchanan was basically Klecker's leadout man. Team tactics from On.

Yes, I think so.
