Trump's criminal defense attorney Blanche has his work cut out for him in his meeting with Maxwell today. It's tough enough wearing two hats to a meeting, but Blanche has also got the added factor that the entire meeting will recorded on prison surveillance video. So unless Blanche can time his big unveil at around midnight, he may need Nauta there as well for some post-meeting IT logistics, as well.

This is high stakes stuff. I can't think of any comparable legal showdown in US history. We have the president's criminal defense attorney playing blind jacks Manhattan poker with a convicted sex offender. What could Maxwell be holding that would even initiate a sit-down of this spectacular nature with a US president? Jesus Christ.

This meeting purpose is pretty apparent.
Trump is all over the Epstein files. Trump wants Maxwell to go to congress and lie about Trump having nothing to do with Epstein. In return the DOJ will lighten her sentence or Trump pardon her.

And they also need to deliver the message that if she goes to congress and fingers Trump, then she will need to stay away from windows.

Republicans have already given away the game. They have admitted that they will encourage Bondi to give her a lighter sentence if they like what they hear from her.

Ask yourself this. Will they like what they hear if she tell them Trump is a pedo partner of Trump? Nope. They will like what they hear if she can clear Trump.

Remember when Trump delivered that very strange message that he wished her well when she was convicted? Most Presidents wouldn”t wish a child trafficker well when convicted.

Trump needs her to either lie or keep her mouth shut.

How does the president have time to sue people and programs during his reign, yet; no one can bring litigation to him during the same time? Isn't that a double standard?

It’s essentially the same reason that Trump can launch a billion dollar family crypto scam while he dictates regulations on the crypto industry that influence his investment values.

Blanche is a skilled negotiator, skilled attorney. He's not going to start talking bedsheets and missing video minutes right off the bat. He's going to dance around, tell Maxwell he wants to help, try to see what cards she has. Which is apparently a lot, if she can essentially summon the president's lawyer to a sit-down. The sitting president of the United States has summoned his corrupt criminal defense attorney to shake down a convicted pedo child trafficker from her prison cell to meet to discuss “what can you do for me that will allow me to help you.?”

And it isn’t even newsworthy anymore. How did we allow ourselves to get here?

Trump's personal attorney who is now a corrupt DOJ official goes to visit an eyewitness -- Maxwell. Presumably to pressure her to not testify to anything if she's subpoenaed.

Unless it was backed by some type of evidence, I wouldn’t believe a word she said. If she does have some type of evidence, wouldn’t she have used it for leverage to receive a significantly shorter sentence than 20 years?

These are good questions. In a child sex trafficking case you are going after the top dogs. Those dogs are Epstein and Maxwell. Maxwells knowledge of who was partaking of Epsteins offerings does not give her any leverage. Especially if the prosecutor is apolitical and not corruptible. Prosecuting the pervs that did the child rape is a more difficult conviction too.

Now that she has a corruptible administration she now has some cards to play. Hence the visit from Blanche.
