Ha! I gotta give it to you for being hopeful even if you can't quite get your facts straight. I have said simply that Avenatti is one of the people coming after Trump. I never said he would bring Trump down. Avenatti is still relevant though because the payments deal with potential campaign finance violation.

Trump is being attacked from many sides. He will be gotten. Mueller and Southern District of New York are the most likely to take him down, and I have said already that Mueller is the odds on favorite to be the first one there.

Keep dreaming that Trump is an innocent man. He's the most guilty not-yet-charged person I have ever seen.

Again, a report from Mueller listing Trump crimes for Congress will be slim to none. This leads to your inevitable Flagpolian Flop. The only crimes that rise to impeachment level are possibly obstruction of justice & Russian collusion. And in the event, the worst case scenario for Trump does indeed happen, you will also need a Blue Wave this November to take place- also very slim odds. Anything short of that, means Clownpole forever. You're gonna fail. Mueller has to hit a home run- with significant charges on Trump.

That's what Russia accomplished via Facebook and elsewhere. I've read dozens of related articles. The same people tried to maim Hillary in the primaries by sending bogus Facebook articles to Bernie Sanders supporters. But it went nowhere. The liberal readers weren't stupid enough to be fooled. But that issue was easily solved when aimed at conservatives.

Flagpole you left one option out: NY State could indict and prosecute also. Or any state. And DJT couldn't pardon his way out of that one.

But the larger point is that Trumpists mistakenly argue that the Mueller investigation is all about getting trump. It's not. It's about describing the links between Moscow and the Trump campaign, plus anything else they discover along the way.

Maybe the 82 meetings between Moscow gov't agents and the Trump campaign were completely legit and maybe Trump hasn't been a serial financial criminal and maybe he hasn't obstructed justice.

If ads didn't work, nobody would use them.

Russia used micro-targeted ads and fake news sites very skillfully on platforms like Facebook. Using stolen Facebook data, they were able to push ads and bogus news stories that specifically appealed to the things that "triggered" certain voters. By analyzing a voter's likes and clicks, they knew exactly how to manipulate certain people in certain key swing states.

How did they know who to target? The Russians also stole voter data from the DNC.

To affect the election, Russians didn't need to convince liberals to vote for Trump. The targeted ads and fake news were designed to:

1) Boost turnout among Trump voters (or those that leaned Trump)

2) Suppress turnout among Hillary voters (or those that leaned Hillary)

3) Make Bernie voters angry at Hillary, so they would stay home.

4) Convince as many voters as possible to cast a protest vote for Jill Stein

In states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, where Trump won by just a few thousand votes, this likely made all the difference. We will never know exactly how many votes were affected, but it would be incredibly foolish to think that the Russian voter targeting operation had no effect.
