They have a proprietary file format called ttbin and you can't upload files manually to the site only off your device which you can't write to. There is a ttbin reader/converter on the net but that wouldn't gain you anything you couldn't do by download and editing off TomTom.
3) Can't one just sync from Tom tom to strava?
There is an automatic synch (I don't use that option myself) but the problem with that is how do you know it was transferred that way and not manually?
4) What does Strava show that TomTom doesnt.
Segments, flybys, athlete summary data. The biggest plus I think is that once we have a Strava athlete to look at you would be able to go to his training calendar and click on any week and look at all the sessions. From what I can see with the TomTom sharing option each share is discrete and would have to be looked at individually via its own link. If you look at that session link above you will see that you can't click on 'Joe' the athlete and see his other sessions.

I think it's clear without the watch, although the watch will certainly be the nail in the coffin. He'll never be able to explain the stuck van incident with timestamped photos. Laz indicated he runs behind the van, and there's clear video in post 1 that he wasn't in KS (where his times are most suspect).
I just wasted my lunch hour writing a script to comb through the kml data. I made several variations of going through each point and assuming RY and the van met him at a minimum period of X hours. It is a support van after all. I'm assuming it didn't just leave him alone and drive 8 mph for 24 hr without him in sight at some point. For each kml data point, I then calculated the maximum and minimum distance and pace he must have travelled to meet the support vehicle at the proper frequency (allowing that he either met it at the beginning or end of the appropriate 12 minute increment later in time). I gave him the benefit of the doubt and listed the slowest possible pace RY could've travelled to meet the RV.
The suspect paces for each time period (maximum amount of time before he met the van are at the link below.) Each row lists the beginning point at which he took off at the suspect pace. If you're aiming for video data from businesses/traffic cams, the stretches to look will be obvious.

Either RY was within sight most of the time, or he didn't sleep at night while the van drove off and waited for him. The van only drove 60 mph when he was on his own in the Mojave. Otherwise the tracker is going at human speeds and we can surely assume it's near RY as why would it drive so slowly otherwise?
I've got a TomTom, set up a Strata account a couple of days ago to see about syncing between the two. Syncing new workouts as they complete is easy, haven't had much luck trying to get older workouts to move over.
I've only tried with the mobile apps, the desktop interface may be more robust.

So if you read this, what he actually says is to meet him in Laughlin, and then he eventually "turns up" - which at least implies that they got to Laughlin before him.
Bottom line: without him wearing a GPS watch, there is no way to prove or disprove what he ran that day.
If they are leaving from the same place and ended up in the same place, than either:
a) RY got there first
b) They passed RY on the route and did not slow down to support him
c) Rob got to 95 before they could get there and then cut across the Dead Mountains Wilderness area, which looks like this:

To keep this is the dealbreaker. If he didn't follow the rules (or more likely didn't even know the rules before he started as this crew seems to do things by the seat of their pants), then it doesn't matter what happens from here on out. The record won't be verified.
Someone needs to succinctly and coherently summarize all the sketchiness out west for the GBOWR people so the case against Rob can be presented to them. And include in there that this man has a long history of dishonesty.

Talk about following the money... I became even more suspicious when I realized who was in Rob's RV. I think Rob is not only delusional about his running abilities (so much that he embellishes it to the Nth degree) but I also think he's being used by these people. I can tell you first hand as a CPA in my auditor days that the regulation of charities in the US is nonexistent. They basically only get busted for fraudulent activities when the media catches wind via whistleblowers. There is very little accounting oversight so the perpetrators usually attempt to build a Ponzi scheme.
Typical signs of fraudulent charities include A) suspicious and extravagant spending that are neither ordinary or necessary B) huge "salaries" and other forms of compensation that would never be deemed reasonable for such enterprises and C) shady connections to other charities and vendors (typically run by the same founder or friends) and D) improper accounting practices
The founder will typically claim the funds will go toward a cause. Once the donations flow in they will overspend and use much of the money for travel and parties (ultimately for personal reasons not benefiting the charity). These charities will usually have net expenditures (never seeming to be doing well) as to not draw scrutiny. The person running the charity takes a massive salary. A typical scheme is for the owner to also own a vendor that will provide services to their charity in exchange for huge fees, effectively masking a personal money transfer. The really poorly done schemes will have all sorts of accounting irregularities. You might find there is no bank account dedicated to the charity, lack of bookkeeping and fuzzy math. The scammers may also like have multiple charities, all operating the same way. I think you get the idea.

A few others involved in this fake are Vanessa and Shacky who gave up their non jobs for years to "crew" the "Race Across The Usa" runners last year. Vanessa is a successful author. So much so that she sets up go fund me accounts for gas money during the fake "Race across the Usa" (for the children)! Others part of this fake, the aforementioned by others Alex Ramsey, Jup Brown, (he needs your money for a go fund me for a flight home after taking time off his not having a job and doing the fake "Race Across the Usa" last year for the fake 100 mile club charity for the children! last year), and Patrick Sweeny among others.
Those are some serious accusations and this really needs to be vetted. I've never heard 100 Mile Club called a "fake charity." 100 Mile Club is a very popular program in schools out west. Basically, the program tries to get elementary school kids to commit to running 100 miles over the course of the school year, one day and one mile at a time. It was started over 20 years ago when Lubin was a school teacher. It spread to other schools and grew to the point where she committed herself to promote this program full-time in schools across the country. I don't know how many states and countries now have schools with this program. If she is working full-time to promote this program, then she deserves to earn her living doing this because it has gotten tens of thousand of kids running in elementary school. I have no idea how much she earns or what perks she gets.
I don't know anything about the race across usa or the other charities and people you mention. I say these things about the 100 Mile Club to clarify that this was not started recently to promote or work with Rob Young and I've never heard it called a "fake charity."

They really don't have a clue about traffic / roads / safety. For example, last night we were in a gravel parking lot maybe 30 feet off the road. They stopped about 100-150ft short of the lot and remained motionless in the roadway for about 3-4 minutes.

So they can say that although the tracker says he made this amazing journey in X hours, it actually took him much longer. He "eventually" showed up at the trailer park.
Do I think he is cheating? Hell yes.
Do I think the current "facts" on the table regarding this day point to him cheating? It's not a smoking gun. I wish it was, but it's simply too vague.
He ran through the desert, unaided, in an undetermined length of time.
Though the video hasn't been posted, if the people in the RV saw asher running towards them, and runner in the video was Rob, then why didn't they just flag down asher and say "hang out a minute and you'll be able to run with him"?
Because they were afraid Asher might try to knife them so they sped off, leaving Rob (apparently) to fend for himself. Unless, of course, Rob was already IN the RV by then...

As someone who has also missed important details by skipping pages, (kinda like riding few a few states, it's more convenient), I can relate. But the important thing is I'm reading them all now, and boy, it's hard. My pace and productivity are slowing dramatically.
