I continue to be impressed by both these ladies. Can we get a rough estimate on how many miles each has to go? Just by looking at a map of the U.S. it seems as though Marina is very far ahead.

Yeah, it's almost like she is a week ahead!

LOL! Well yeah, they started at different times right? That's why I need someone smarter to do the numbers. I don't know how to calculate them or how to breakdown the chances of Marina being caught.

A four day head start and 230 miles less might do that. Oh, and someone else running the first half.

I'm not sure if it's accurate, but Sandy's web site says her total route is 3067 miles and Mimi's is 2838 miles. If you know how far each has traveled so far, which I think was posted earlier, then you can calculate what remains.

Keep in mind that Mimi started her transcon on September 7 while Sandy started on September 11, so it's not a true head-to-head race.
