Word from East Hill is that Rich Bowman is stepping back from his position as Director of Cornell M&W track and field/xc. He'll move to being an assistant for women's sprints and hurdles (and men's hurdles?) and will remain full-time (recruiting, etc.).
Artie Smith is the long-time CU women's distance coach and will take over the reins as overall head of the women's program. Not sure whether there will still be a Director of M&W.
So new positions but not a new hire. (The Big Red have had three new hires in the past year and are probably ready for a breather.) They actually did something similar several years back when Lou Duesing moved from women's head to women's asst. and Rich took over the program.

Wow, a lot of transition in a short period of time. While I preferred Nathan Taylor's psycho-killer attitude towards coaching, both Rich and Artie are super classy individuals and the university, team, and community are all lucky to have them around.

Pretty sure it was Stimson that year. He had some serious health issues and stepped down/retired. He'd been there for a long time with varying degrees of success but gave a awful lot to/for the program. The throws area at W&M is named for him in recognition.

Took them so long to announce Braden even after everyone knew, who knows how long it'll take to get the assistants in...XC will be half over
Most roles at this point are filled. Just takes time for press releases to be written and published. There are very few vacant positions remaining at this point.

well in regards to w&m, seeing as how there have been no rumors and the asst. distance coach just went up this week, I'd say those are not decided yet. but thanks for playing our game. also, dartmouth just went up this week as well so that has yet to be decided..
Any word of where the Dartmouth coach is heading?
I heard Northeastern. I suppose it could be South Alabama as well.
