The math makes no sense. $318B loss in May, $4B tariff gain in June = $27B surplus in June?
While it appears to be factual, it is likely that they are applying Q2 business taxes only to the month of June. In other words, we can expect another $300B loss for July & Aug. We are still on track fo a near $2T loss for the fiscal year.
From the article: "Customs duties totaled about $27 billion for the month, up from $23 billion in May and 301% higher than June 2024. On an annual basis, tariff collections have totaled $113 billion, or 86% more than a year ago."
We know Trump is the worst president in human history, worse than anyone we have ever seen. But, is Trump the most despicable American ever? People are talking about Trump like Hitler and Nero.
Given the existence of tons of (known) murderers and mass murderers, I suppose Trump is off the hook on being the most despicable American ever.
But for a LONG time now, I've fully assumed that he's in a very dominant position as THE #1 most despicable (or a similar adjective) public official in U.S. history.
GENEVA ??? History was unmade this week after a time traveler went back in time to kill Adolf Hitler to prevent World War II and the extermination of six million Jews. However, in a cruel twist of fate, he now had no one to c...
Just dropping by to remind everyone that the President was best friends with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
And announced there was no Epstein list right when Netanyahu came to visit. Also scolded a reporter asking about it when it was the biggest news story.
Trump to a reporter: "Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? We have Texas, this, all of the things... are people still talking about this creep? That is UNBELIEVABLE! I can't believe you're asking a question on Epstein."
Right up until 15 minutes from now, when Trump says that it's OK if they work on farms. Or restaurants. Or hotels.
And you'll be RIGHT there, mouth wide open.
Ever flexible and open.
Wrong.
Trump already said "no" to a amnesty deal. The deporting will continue.
Let's recap:
1) Deporting only violent criminals? No.
2) Deporting only criminals, of any kind? No.
3) Deporting only those without a legal status in the country? No.
4) Deportations guided by due process? No.
5) (this is the best one) Deporting in ANYWHERE NEAR the numbers that Donny (and Tommy) promised ??? Or even Obama levels (or so I hear)? NO !!! Cue laughter (and utter lack of surprise).

No Trump is nothing like Hitler. But are you sure Hitler had more enemies than Donald Trump? I mean, I can still vote for Trump is the alternative is worse, but nobody actually likes this guy other than a few trolls on the internet. Even half of his family members hate him. That’s really bad as a person, no matter how rich or poor they are. People hated Hitler, but most people were actually afraid of him. On the other hand, nobody is taking taco Trump seriously. Everyone knows Trump is a fool and a joke.

Thank GOD the other countries are paying them !!
But I do feel a LITTLE bad for the other countries. Imagine being a Chinese exporter and having to come ALL the way to LA to pay the import tariffs ?!?!

Our Wonderful Present: The fine, fine GOP and tens of millions of mo-ran Americans have thoroughly neutered it as a joke.
If the (authoritarian) similarities fit (and they most certainly do), wear them.
But maybe you'd be more pleased with mere comparisons to fine leaders like Orban and Erdogan?? Cuz America the Great doesn't deserve leaders better than Hitler, OR B/C-level authoritarians like them.

Trump is plenty like Hitler.
Because the (accomplished) magnitude is far, far less doesn't mean that they don't have LOTS in common. In fact, plop Donald into 1920s or early 1930s Munich, and it's awfully easy to imagine him closing the gap significantly.
Very, very, very few horrible human beings will ever "accomplish" what Hitler did. That takes away little or none of the similarities that they share.

Cliff's Notes Version:
Hitler was an authoritarian.
Trump is an authoritarian.
Bonus Insight Provider: Living in an authoritarian country is bad whether you're invading your neighbors and trying to exterminate a religion, OR NOT.
A 22-year-old Department of Homeland Security official who has raised eyebrows for leading a top counterterrorism group has shocked critics once again, this time with a 'teenage spat.'

Moscow Carlson is saying the Bondo/DOJ coverup of the Epstein files is to protect Mossad assets and intelligence. And Carlson is not one prone to wild speculation of improbable events.
