Anyone watch Nico Freilch? Not too bad, some interesting videos, from soccer player to hobby jogger
now if our friend bester could get arrested for fraud from his bank teller days that would rid the YouTube community of two of the worst

There is nothing wrong with having a goal race 12 months out but you'd expect any reasonable person to have b goals during that period. Maybe a speed block for 12 weeks with plenty of 5ks and 10ks, then a HM block before the main marathon block.
Fordy is in that group of people, mostly "fun runners" and charity people who are obsessed with the marathon and the marathon only. He talks about goal pace only in the sense of marathon goal pace. He uses every run as a build towards a marathon. He's missing out on so much
Cheers.
I have to admit I am guilty of that, it sort of comes with chasing the Majors for a few years. Irony being that if I don't do the "b goal" stuff, I wont get fast enough to BQ! So I'm going to be changing my routines over the next few months

The worst.
I like that video when he runs next to Nick Bare. They're doing 800s at (5:20?) pace or something like that.
Nick Bare does not seem to be even moving, he really is that big. Nico is 5'9 160 lbs. Seems like a good guy, but it's hard to really like them when it's obviously an attempt at a "career". His short vids are not badly made but that's about it.
I'm over 40, with a 7-fig W-2, an 8-fig NW, and recently ran sub 3 (barely). I would imagine there are fewer "like me" than those influencers. I do wish I could run sub 2:40 though, and wish I had tried harder earlier. But I was too busy career-ing.
You're too slow for your money to matter at all
Well you really showed me didn't you! But yeah that's kind of my point. We're all slow.
Sub-3 is slow. And Sub-2:40 or whatnot, still is slow in the grand scheme of things. I just don't get how some "make it" financially in the world of running influencers. I suppose the coaching pay, and so does the BPN-style of "community" branding

I am not really sure what you mean. Time is mostly irrelevant. 2.12 in the marathon is probably not going to get you a pro contract
Bro had finisher posters of himself on the wall with cringe quotes
Weird.
Nico is on the verge of crying in every video he post. His “what I eat in a day” videos must be doing good because that’s what he mostly post.

Late addition of speedwork might have cooked the OG for Jersey? On the one hand, it's nice to know that some things don't change and the OG fails to meet his goals yet again. On the other hand, I did hope that this time would be different. But nope. Lucy will always pull the football away from Charlie Brown.
Just took a glance at his video. I guess 4 orders a day for the store? He has so much inventory. I have no idea how he is making any money. Spending all day at it.
My guess is that he isn’t making any money. They probably had savings etc. that is now running dry and that’s why the sudden return to daily vlogging. He is also delaying his videos 12-24 hours for non-members, signaling even further that memberships are his only source of cash right now
Only just found out that that Mormon trustfund kid Floberg runs with has a YouTube channel too (clarkruns). Content is not great - has even less charisma than Ben Parks.

SJD is really beginning to represent the worst traits of elite hobby joggers: big talking, obsessive planning, not training in a consistent and logical manner, hedging before race day, and finding excuses to explain away a slower than expected performance. You’re 39 and not an elite athlete, Seth. Why do you twist so hard to protect your ego and image? You look like a fool to serious athletes and fans. Your minions are impressed that you run everyday and don’t know what true performance is. Why the act and the mental gymnastics?
He has literally always been like this. He has no idea how to train for a road race and actually gets pretty impressive results based on pure talent. He is 100% resistant to any ideas, suggestions, or the mildest of critiques. He follows 5 people on Strava and I think he literally does not have any awareness of what optimal half marathon/marathon training looks like. Nor does he show the least bit of desire to learn.
The irony, as many people have stated repeatedly, is that he has enormous potential for mountain running and ultras, and training for those races requires the sorts of efforts that he most seems to enjoy. He is great at Pike's Peak and the Leadville Marathon, and instead of trying to leverage that success into a trail 50 or 100 (many of which take place within a three-hour drive of his house!), he tries to use that same training approach to PR in road races across the country or in Europe.
And yet he sees himself as some sort of running guru that can never be questioned. It's hilarious and sad.
Who's going to be at the DGR shakeout run tomorrow morning in the park?
It's because he tried doing a hundred miler once and failed miserably. He's scared to try another one.
how was no one noted that the OG is now gracing us with recipes and cooking content?
The playbook has been leaked!
oops did i accidentally set that to public? 🤣
but on a serious note, as I move on to other projects and focusing on trying to grow my animated series, I just thought I should share everything I learned.
See ya

Where is the OG GOAT getting his Nike's from? Does Running Wearhouse comp them, or does he pay for them?
