Hopefully one day assistant coaches can sign two- three year contracts. Negotiate $2500 annually coaching education, free parking pass, free University meal plan etc.. Don't know the guy but a couple of months is not long enough
I am going to go out on a limb and say this change is not performance related (in terms of how the teams are running); the men are doing quite well and while the women are mid-majoresq and will struggle at the Big10 meet, that is more of a long term recruiting issue.
I won't speculate on the possible reasons for a change, but there are a whole lot of things that could be going on between Cashberry, Elliot, or how they relate to one another.
You won't speculate- BUT speculated and dropped a rumor with that statement. 🙄 Classic. 😏
Kentucky Wesleyan cuts cross and track. The AD said its the worse thing theyve had to do. When it always seems to include, it tells me its we the easier thing to do. Cutting football or basketball seems to be the toughest thing to do. The AD miss me with the sympathy card.
Wesleyan Sports Financials In terms of financials, Wesleyan collected $6,792,159 in revenue and paid out $6,697,292 in expenses. This means the team turned a profit of $94,867, which is great since many schools have to declare a loss.
Mens track was in deficit of -5776 and womens track was in deficit of -37471
football lost -43466
Why even hire a coach with experience if you knew you were going to cut the programs a year later. Wow

I bet that coach ends up at Uindy.
No offense to him but i'm sure there will be a lot of people with a better track record applying for that job if they decide to replace the interim.
