I'm the only person that I'm aware of who BAA has enforced this against. They have clarified the rules since my incident; the rules were far less clear in October 2021. They're much more clear and consistent now. So, that's good.
Back in Oct 2021, the crux of the debate was whether or not a YouTube channel is personal or commercial. My channel had less than 2,500 subscribers at the time, so I really didn't think the BAA would care. I was wrong. But I admit, I was operating in what was a grey area at the time.
Kofuzi has stated he is donating whatever money his Boston video makes to charity, not keeping it... which puts the BAA in a bit of a corner. Would they really go after a fundraiser?? (haven't seen that hidden footage yet)
What's curious -- and makes me frustrated -- is how they seem to be selectively enforcing the rules. Maybe they just don't like me. 🤷
Long Live the BAA 🦄
You are definitely on to something here. If it was only you who it was enforced on then this is a racial issue and you definitely have a lawsuit now against BAA. With the Trump administration era, this is a sure bet in my eyes. No way they will permit racial discrimination like this against someone who is clearly a white male of European decent. Have you spoken to any legal counsel about the potential?

that's an old post to go back to...
Thankfully, since then, the BAA has been a lot more consistent with takedowns of race videos. I think we can all applaud their efforts to be more inclusive when it comes to going after people on YouTube.
Who’s got the most mouths to feed? The most kids to dress and to buy stuff for? Who needs foreign made drones, external drives, and SD cards? Who buys a lot of processed foods? That guy!

SJD is definitely starting to hurt for money. 100 percent why is back to daily vlogging
This might not be related to influencers, but I've been wondering how much money the Total Running Products YouTube channel makes when they have a strong urge to highlight the Grand Slam Track and their footage? I don't see any mention of sponsored content.

The same guy who had a gigantic American flag in his shoedio and feels laws and rules apply to others but not him?
Which shoetubers will be hit the hardest by the tarrifs?

Tacking a 20 percent tariff onto bespoke Italian fabrics will make Tracksmith prices about to go to the moon!
"The premium Inverno blend used on signature Tracksmith pieces was selected for its comfort and breathability over longer distances. It’s specially knit with a smooth yet durable face that fends off light precipitation, and a soft brushed back that provides a barrier between your skin and the fabric, improving temperature regulation and speeding up drying times."

Tracksmith ads remind me of trump quotes - no idea what's real and what's satire anymore

Kofuzi says he'll never again run the Boston Marathon. So at a minimum, they've stopped giving him free bibs. And they may well have banned him. The head mounted GO-Pro or Insta 360, I'm fine with as it's non obstructive to other runners. The six foot selfie stick Kofuzi runs with, not so much on a crowded course like Boston. It's only slightly better than Matt Choi's bike brigade. Because people work so hard to run Boston, it would really royally tick me off if someone tripped and fell on Kofuzi's stick and had an awful day. It's pretty self-absorbed to run with that thing and not see the down sides to other runners.

Kofuzi's 2023 result still stands (he was not DQ'd), so BAA probably hasn't banned him from the race. I assume they'd DQ and ban him rather than just banning him from future races, but I may be wrong.
Inflation doesn't impact Kofuzi who gets thousands in travel and free gear. To top it off he charges appearance fees because he seems himself important.
The Athlete Special is kind of annoying and immature, but I'm am interested in where his progression takes him. Kind of funny he got chic'd in his 10 miler. I'm not sure if he's come out and said it, but I'd imagine his goal is Olympic trials qualifying standard for the marathon.
Maybe it's the shoe companies that deserve flack and not the shoetubers.. they're willing to spend all the money on influencers while still charging all that money for the shoes.
