Wang Junxia - Was she on peds or was she on PEDs???

No question in my mind she was on the juice. ABSOLUTELY A CHEATER

Why do people even debate this? The Chinese government caught them on more than one occassion and didn't send any of them to Sydney because they didn't want to be embarrassed by the new tests.

Pretty sure this has been pointed out before but drugs alone don't explain her performances (or the performances of the whole group).

Facts are:

1. The results were never replicated outside of China. NOT EVEN CLOSE.

2. Do you really believe the wonder drug that they used was invented by the Chinese and then forgotten for all times? What was this drug? Which drug can increase the performance of female athletes by 20%?

At the end of the day, the track was short. They did 25 laps, but each lap was only 380m or so. A difference that is not visible to the naked eye.

So the men's times were comparably fast? The sprints times were fast? Or did they just shorten the track for the women's distance races?

Chinese sprinters are super slow anyway, they are also lacking some serious muscle mass. In other words, they are simply not BUFF.

That said, who cares if the track was short or not or if they were doped. FACT is that these ladies were not hot at all. Stick figure. Lame.

Yes, after doing a little research I realize you are correct. They never really repeated those times outside of China.

The 1993 World Championships in Stuttgart, were the only time they dominated internationally, but the times were nowhere close to the world records.

The Chinese runners were probably doped, but I think there was more foul play. Possibly those clocks were rigged, as those runners never did anything on the world level. They weren't even competitive internationally.

They did team running and helped each other run faster times, but they could never duplicate anything close to that outside of all Chinese races.

They only shortened the track for the women's distance events.

The track was regulation size for everything else.

They never did anything on the world level? Weren't even competitive? Couldn't do anything outside of China?

Tell that to the 1993 World Championships field in Stuttgard (Germany), when they swept the medals in the 3k, took the top 2 spots in the 10k, and won the 1500m (all with 6 different athletes).

Just because she lives in the US doesn't mean she speaks any English. Plenty of first gen Chinese immigrants never learn to speak English.

Only mention I've seen is on her wikipedia page -

"In 2008 Wang and her husband Huang Tianwen moved to Denver, Colorado.[2] In 2012 she told the Spanish newspaper El Pais that she was writing her autobiography.[3]"

Even if she was doping she would be like lance armstrong, doped because everyone else was doping and was still the best.

i'm biased but i believe these are best possible tables & can't be improved on as they are mathematically based

it's not on tables but it's also = to a track M of 2"12'28

based on :

27'00 = 2'04'57

28'00 = 2"09'12

women's distance is p!ss-weak especialy compared to the sprints, so people do need to put these clockings into perspective

Kratochvílová is basically a man. Not sure if by birth like Semenya or through massive injection of drugs.

Anyway, probably best to discard her performance.

As for Qu, as she was from the same training group, I would also not compare this performance either.
