Why Rita Jeptoo run 1:17:39 for the first half? It's too slow for her. Rita runs a consistent even splits considering the hills in the 2nd half. Rita was 13 secs off from 5th place.

Weather is never a factor at Boston. The winning times this year are attributed to a lower quality field. If Ryan Hall ran today, he would have won by 7 minutes.

No tailwind this year, really; it was mainly out of the southwest and even south. At the end it might have been out of the east (which is the airport reading 73 degrees, dew point 58, wind East at 7mph).
