Somewhat random, but I wonder whether Erskine could challenge for an all-american spot. I doubt it, but it would be quite the postseason for him.

Thoughts on Regionals: Farwell proves he is still the man. I think if you go back to page 1 and look at what Williams was coming with, they looked very vulnerable. Their women had their top 2 defect. Schmidt proves he is still the man...in NE. NESCAC dominates.

The guys usually stink it up at Nationals. Maybe because they beat each other up the week before on tough courses, maybe something else. I think Schmidt can run well, top 15 but probably not top 7 or so. Beyond that we'll be lucky to get 5 AA. Williams might do alright with a pack in the 30s for a top 10 finish.

The girls could really do some damage. There is no reason why Williams and Midd couldn't go 1/2. Williams would have been a shoein national champ with Gossels/Dear.

My name is Connor Rose and I am the most inconsistent runner on the planet. Luckily, I have an amazing hairline and biceps made of airplanes. I also have abnormally stretchy penis skin.

I am very good at video games, too. My XBox Live name is Oddu. If you wanna play me in anything, please feel free to tap my nuts. My mom won't let me get cod until xmas though, so that IS SERIOUS HOGWASH. I used to play the trumpet very well, but haven't picked it up in a long time.

I have a labral tear in my hip and that is why I blow chunks at running right now. I was pretty decent early in the season, running whatever pace I wanted whenever I wanted to do it. But now I can't because I can't run and got fat. I am truly sorry for my poor performances in the last two meets. I intend to take 50 pills of ibuprofen before nationals so that I can run at a reasonable level and make our region proud.

If Sam Haney wasn't the biggest wuss in the region, we would have him run instead of me. He is too busy being extremely attracted to petite Asian women. We can't all be champs, ya know? He still gets to ride the plane with us and I expect most of our top 7 will enjoy his company.

Nationals should be a real 3 way battle. CMS could also sneak in there.

Williams has the most talent in New England every year. There is no reason for them ever to get beat. The second most talent is at MIT.

So how fast will Ben Scheetz run after a fairly successful XC season this fall? Will he go for an uber-fast 1000? I don't see low 2:20s would be out of the question for him if he hopped into the right race.

Williams was 6th, Bates 7th, Tufts 9th, Middlebury 13th, Bowdoin was 15th. Great day for everyone.

I'm really impressed by Marsh. What a seasonal progression to get the last AA spot!

The young talent in new england is going to be fun to watch over the next couple years.

does anyone have photos or video from the race? would love to get a link

so any predictions for next year? How many AA will NE get, do any of the teams have a shot at top 3... your thoughts? Also what about indoors/outdoors, any favorites?

The New England teams are losing less than almost anyone else in the top 15, other than north central and calvin college.

Tufts is returning the entire top five, williams losing a few, but they've got the depth to fill in, bates just losing dilts, who ended up being their five man, middlebury just losing schmidt, and bowdoin losing hillard and ogilvie, but they have a strong sophomore class. New england could be beastly next year, but hard to say how things will pan out.

Just based on the top returning runners, I would rank NE as such:

Tufts

Williams

Bates

Midd

Bowdoin

That being said, I have a feeling that due to various developmental factors, Tufts will not be on top by the end. But maybe I just say that because I haven't seen it happen in a while. Somehow I see Williams pulling it all together at the end, as they always seem to, and Bates nipping at their heels.

No matter where you're from, it's just nice to see the region doing so well. Curious as to what Horowitz will do this year on the track now that he's finally come into form.

Bates will lose their #4, Ben Chebot, as well
