Most small-average sized D1 conference meets are two days, not three. The bigger conferences are three but the SOCON has no reason to go to 3 day meets.

Jimjamesrunner, since don't is apparently on to something about Coach Gautier's coaching I am open to training advice... and who knows maybe I'll end up running 7:55 and 13:45 this season.
Nah, you'll be hurt again soon enough and be a non- factor come post season
Whew chill with the hating.
Can anyone give me some REAL info on the Kenyans at UNCG? Come on guys just tell us!!!!!
I watched Will Raby race in high school for our rival in town. He had to play second fiddle on his own squad and about fifth fiddle in town. Will never got discouraged. He is so devoted to running and has come a long way with persistence and consistency. I am so happy for this great kid !
Who cares about Will Raby, He hasn't done much at all at App. As a matter of fact he has only won one conference title and he barely broke 15 min. doing that. He is way over-rated. Many others should get more props than this guy.
Yeah, not to mention hes a huge weenie.
But ya gotta love his meekness
as a socon athlete, this forum is starting to embarrass the shit out of me. I just hope school starting gives you people something else to do than talk garbage to each other while being hidden behind your computers.
good luck Chris Berry and the mocs, Good Luck Raby and the Apps, Good luck UNCG.....etc.........lets start running.

You're obviously new to teh interwebz...
wow this just reeks of bitterness. raby has run right around 14:30 and ran a pretty beast 10k as a sophomore, I'd say that warrants some attention. how many sophs in the conference have a socon track title to their name? and it really doesn't matter the time of the conference title he won- it was a race not a stanford time trial.
Surprised nobody has talked about the preseason poll yet. Looks like all the coaches think App will win again. They probably know more about who has what than we do. They voted overwhelmingly for App as #1. Only one coach voted for uncg.....wonder who that was.....
Well it won't matter, if the rumors of the Kenyans are true, App State can reference that pre-season poll all they want, as they are holding their runner-up trophy...maybe even watching Davidson hold up runner-up instead
UNCG men goes 1,2,4,5,6 if the rumor of Kenyans is true.

Who's number three?
UNCG's 2011 roster is now up and they do have four Kenyans. I'm looking at the #4 Kenyan, Abraham Kemboi, and his fastest 5k time in track was only 15:09. Not sure how that will translate to the 8k, but he probably won't be in top 10 at Socon.
wow they did get paul chelimo. that guy ran 13:53 last year. there top four guys are pretty damn good. on any given day they could have the four best cross country guys in the conference.
UNCG may win conference but they better not win coach of the year...
UNCG's got Kenyans. App should counter with Ethiopians. But until they do UNCG wins. Or App could give their guys this stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRuNxHqwazs&ob=av3e
I for one am glad that app is gonna lose. If anyone has any doubt that this will happen they are from app or kidding themselves. No way they don't win with the guys they have now. Probably won't go 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 but they will have 4 in top 10 5 in top 15. Still not as good as the '07 app team with 8 in the top 11 though
well I've heard that app got themselves some transfers. should actually make the meet competitive, seeing as its been no contest for the last, what? 6 years. and I concur with the previous statement, no matter what happens, the UNCG coach doesn't deserve any credit, and clearly knows that he has no talent whatsoever.
