LRC's article analyzing regionals which includes all the qualified teams is now up: https://www.letsrun.com/news/2...

I largely agree but I think if both run their best either BYU or OR could win. The good and bad news for BYU is they have had a different top 5 almost every meet. Will they all have an "A" race, or just a "B" race? Are Hutchins and Lexy H-L ok? The OR runners have been very consistent. I see NAU as clear best of the rest, then Washington (have not seen them get better as season goes along), Georgetown, ND too close to call for 4-6, then Stanford, W VA, AL, Providence and NC St (top 10 if they can repeat regional performance) UT, NM too close for me to call for 7-13. Most of these teams have strong top runners, but also weaknesses.
I still think 150 points will win. McCabe has been very impressive - could she challenge the top 3? I agree Bunnage could be top 10 especially in team scoring.
rbtrackfan, should first state I enjoy your posts & our eventual discussions.
Now having reviewed all regions, agree OR & BYU are a toss-up FTW with OR my inclination given their 1-2 punch up front. Given their experience -- including Oly racing -- dead certain neither will implode like BYU did last year @ Panorama Farms.
Agree NAU looks like the bronze favorite now that Stearns is back in the lineup since-Nats.
After these three, like you state above, who knows what the order will be from #4 on.
Since I have a preference for Stanford, JJ's case for #4 is they almost beat ND @ ACC's w/o Bunnage & DaDamio while they did beat WA today w/both in the lineup. However, Stanford would need to get another transcendent AA-calibre performance from Stewart and another solid run from Flynn/Hogg/DaDamio @ #5 for that to happen. Stanford gals had their perfect team race today; might be too much to ask for a carbon-copy repeat in WI.
Keep up the stimulating commentary.
Bummed Portland didnt make nationals. Team could finish top 20 maybe top15 but didn’t get those points earlier in the year.

Good NAU post race evaluation and Mike Smith quotes here:
Love that they are getting interviews and covering the sport - but man the typos? Wish journalism was a tad more serious these days.
Honestly crazy that the women’s mountain region only gets 4 to nationals
