I'm a parent to two kids currently on the Rocky program. I've also had a kid graduate in the past several years who spent a couple years on the team.

Whether the person claiming to be an alumni is telling the truth or not, I do think that the information seems to be accurate, albeit dated.

If I had to guess, I'd say they graduated in one of the covid years, so class of 21 or class of 22, as since that time, my kids have said that there has been a gradual increase in mileage.

What used to be a 30-50 minute run is now a 40-60 minute run. The workout volume seems to be the same as say, 5 years ago, but I do think that the kids are getting 10-12% more volume now than their predecessors did.

If it is true that CDA is running 70-80 mile weeks for lots of their top guys, then Rocky is still assuredly doing much less than that, but yes, some of the boys from Rocky likely are getting somewhere between 46-52 miles during the season, something that used to never happen.

Pretty good day yesterday for Idaho cross country- CDA boys and Rocky girls winning the region, Timberline girls getting 3rd, and Stadtlander qualifying as an individual. Taylor with a top 10 finish in the girls race and top 15 finish for Sheesley. It’s been awhile (ever?) that Idaho has been this deep. Will be interesting to see how everyone fares on a national level in a few weeks. Seems like it’s a game of who can stay healthy the longest at this point. Zack and Wyatt from CDA both really impressed yesterday.

Who decided to not take the NXN invite so Boaz from Oregon can go?
