Wow, I was so excited about Nico I totally overlooked that. Habtom is definitely a name to look out for in the future
Not a great day for Joe Klecker. Not because of the time since he only ran 2 seconds off his pr - but 3 other Americans have the standard now.
Add that with the fact that i wouldn’t expect him to make the 5k team, and he ran terribly in the 10 at worlds last year so his ranking will be interesting.
With these results, the road race today and the xc qualifiers looks like there are only 4 spots as of right now for rankings qualifiers (if everyone accepts).
I assume Grant could’ve finished similarly if the pace was 10-15 secs faster. He said before the race, multiple times, his goal was under 27 and he didn’t care how far under it was
