Across the entire meet it was a very strong performance. Sprint golds, field event golds, distance golds and many other notable medals. I’ll trade a M800 gold and W3000 gold for a couple of silvers in the relay any day. I’m not sure of the USA combined M/W point total, but I doubt we’ve ever scored as many points before.

Hocker ran fine. He wasn't impeded on the final lap and he was positioned well. He just wasn't as fast as Beamish. Sometimes good runners lose to people who are just better. What can you do?

Reekie wasn't going to win. Duguma is unknown but watching her races this winter she has been special in every one of them. With a lap remaining today I knew exactly what would happen.

Duguma is lightly raced but has never lost at 800. Her debut at the distance was 1:59.40 last summer.

Bol is better at pacing indoors period. She has emphasized several times that she won't switch to 400 flat partially because it is not natural for her to pace outdoor 400s. Too many variables. Indoors all she has to worry about is getting out fast enough to win the break.

Sunday it was obvious what she would do once she got the baton ahead of Holmes. Her coach Laurent Meuwly has said many times that Bol went out too fast in Budapest because she didn't have anybody to chase so she chased a time. That wasn't going to happen again.
