That's just poor and jaded speculation on your part. You're projecting stereotypes and characteristics that you want on people.
This Indictment shows you are wrong, at least to the extent that 23 Floridians believed the facts set forth showed the crimes listed were probably committed by Trump. Juries usually follow the law and the facts, and things like the O.J. Simpson case are an aberration. If the facts presented in the Trump Indictment get presented competently to a Florida jury, it is highly likely they will convict even if some or all of them voted for Trump previously. The jury will take this all seriously and follow the law.
I'd bet $100 that he is not convicted for this in FL. HUng juries from now until forever, esp with this inexperienced m'aga judge in charge.
I don't think you understand how important it is to m'agas to defend DJT from this kind of thing. It's the same loyalty that caused serfs to throw themselves into combat to defend a king who they'll never meet. It's hero worship, it's tribal, it's primitive submission to a great power. Total human nature.
We shall see. And yes I understand Trump is a messiah to some people who also believe the world is out to destroy their way of life (several of these types post here), but that can be broken down in the right circumstances. Look how many of the Capitol rioters have changed their tune drastically about Trump when presented with the facts.
We shall see. Trial is a long way away, and many things can happen between now and then, but I think a jury will do its job no matter where it is located.
I agree with most of that, especially that the Republican Party is a problem too. Leadership generally is poor, incompetent, self serving.
What the Republican leadership has failed to do is adapt their platform to appeal to a larger percentage of the population. Political beliefs of the masses are not static. The political beliefs small population groups are mostly static. This is Politics 101, the first class syllabus/lecture.
The GOP, by holding firm to short-sighted ideologies they will fall to the wayside like other parties in the past. A new conservative party will take their place, lead by people like those the current republicans have out-cast, and leaving the Freedumb Caucus members alone to play with themselves.
One thing the defunct American political parties had in common was, conservatism, protectionism, immigration control, and supporting businesses over the people.
Of course they won't actually change their policy to any extent but instead try to change the rules in order to have minority rule. Parties have tried this in the past but today's GOP is really really good at it. See the Supreme Court all the way down to district courts. See not only the US House but State legislatures as well. Realistically the GOP only needs ~40% of the vote to enact their policies.

The point would be that endlessly changing the rules is not a long term political survival strategy. Political parties which survive adapt. Those which refuse to adapt die out.
the saddest fact is that no jury in a confederate state will ever convict DJT, even if proved cold that he betrayed the nation and put our armed forces and cities at risk.
Just won't happen. They will go back home, get their back slapped for showing up the elites, and that will be that.
The federal jury pool for the Miami district would be expected to be split in terms of political affiliation. I have a profound confidence that in the sanctity of the jury room, the people on that jury will solemnly and carefully execute their duty. Trump will get a fair trial and his fate will be in the people’s hands. The indictment seems overwhelming damning, but Trump can mount his legal defense. Nothing he’s offered in his pr defense has been exculpatory.
It's hard to imagine that Trump and his team won't tamper with the jury in some way. There have been allegations with juries and witnesses in the past. Given this guy's track record and god complex this seems like a likely hail mary.
Its really quite simple, the line that separates us. Losers are afraid of competition. Winners embrace it.
Um, I'm pretty sure Biden would love to face Trump again. Crushed him once, and Trump has only gotten weaker since. Your conspiracy theories don't even make any logical sense.
you have to listen to trump as a HS educated m'aga hears him. That m'aga hears someone talking directly to him, at his level, with a tone he himself admires and words he uses. It's trump's magic weapon.
I get that, but I just don’t think Trump should be compared to Reagan and FDR. They could speak and appeal to the masses, educated or not, in a much more legitimate and fact accepting way. While each had their half-truth go to phrases, it was hard to tell if they were right or wrong and their positions still get argued.
A more fitting comparison might be made to Joseph McCarthy. History is never kind to demagogues.

the jury will be threatened every day and three times on Sunday. Militia members will threaten their families, people with long guns will walk by their homes, etc. M'aga plays for keeps. They are motivated and highly armed. It only takes one juror to lose his or her backbone and say 'I can't risk having my kids shot' and vote to acquit. One.

That would be cool but seems less and less likely. Covid reversed the trend temporarily but the trend of self-segregating along political lines has been accelerating for years. It puts dems in a losing position and reps in a winning position due to the eccentricities of the American system (cities v rural). All GOP needs is one big swing to get a 2/3rds majority and it's all over.
if trump is reelected no ally will share any information. They will know there is a solid chance trump will make it unsecret. Store it in his beach club bathroom.
And remember that trump and kushner are getting millions, tens of millions or more from Saudi at the same time trump has been stealing secret info.
I'm sure Saudi would love to have all this info and they can blackmail DJT pretty easily.
How much fentanyl has crossed the wide open border? How many unvetted terrorists have we let in?
I don't know on the fentanyl terrorists. Maybe like 10? 20? What's your guess?
But it does look like "Trump Attorney 3" who I'm pretty sure is Christina Bobb, has been exonerated. She must be breathing a sigh of relief. The Indictment makes her look like a total fool of a lawyer, but does clear her of criminal wrongdoing. She may get a reprimand from the Florida state bar admonishing her to act like a real lawyer and not to blindly sign documents shoved under her nose, but she can tell her criminal lawyer(s) to stop billing her for the mess.

If Trump were reelected any form of checks and balances on his power a and crimes past and future) would be be eliminated. He will instal "acting" AG, Defense Leader, etc, etc etc. It will be only those "loyal". Family and freedom caucus crazies will be running the executive branch. He learned a lot in his 4 years and the next time he would make sure nobody can hold him or anyone around him accountable or remove him from office. Trump will have an enemies list and retribution will be handed out. There really aren't any scenarios that are too outlandish to foresee. All you need to do is read his truth social. And look at what he has done to anyone that he views as having been disloyal in the past.
“Wouldn’t it be better if we just told them we don’t have anything here?” — Donald Trump, according to one of his lawyers in the indictment, discussing the FBI subpoena for classified documents.
From an exchange between Donald Trump and a staffer contained in the indictment released today. TRUMP: By the way. Isn’t that incredible? STAFFER: Yeah. TRUMP: I was just thinking, because we were talking about it. And you know, he said, “he wanted to attack [Country A], and what… STAFFER: You did. TRUMP: This was done by the military and given to me. Uh, I think we can probably, right? STAFFER: I don’t know, we’ll, we’ll have to see. Yeah, we’ll have to try to- TRUMP: Declassify it. STAFFER: -figure out a -yeah. TRUMP: See as president I could have declassified it. STAFFER: Yeah. [Laughter] TRUMP: Now I can’t, you know, but this is still a secret. STAFFER: Yeah. [Laughter] Now we have a problem. TRUMP: Isn’t that interesting?
Help me out here. Is it positive or is it negative when an indictment is published that half of your attorneys representing tender their resignations immediately?

Wait, he did say something about Joe Biden being the real criminal, didn't he? Isn't that exculpatory?

border is not wide open and much/most drugs are carried across it by US citizens, apparently.
and of course all the demand is good ol' Americans choosing to take drugs. that's the problem. We demand all the drugs and all that comes along with the drugs is our fault.
"On political corruption, we are going to restore honor to our government. In my administration, I am going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information. No one will be above the law," Trump said during his campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, on August 18, 2016.
Trump is definitely the biggest national security threat this country has ever seen in a President. But he might also be the most amoral human being that has ever held high office in this country. He will always, 100% do what is best for himself and it matters not if it is illegal or harms anyone or the country.
The fact that a percentage of this country truly believe he is fighting for them is beyond comprehension.
