I wonder why two prominent sprinters from Georgia are transferring. They have a lot of star talent coming in. I wonder what happened.

That's part of the reason why. If you don't perform they'll cut your money since theres gonna be a freshman/transfer coming in that is better, who they could be giving that money to instead.

Also, as much as I am a huge fan of her, i've heard that Smith-Gilbert can be a little abrasive.

Reggie Witherspoon III from Oregon enetered portal

Mason Lawyer of Washington State just entered the portal. He was an NCAA qualifier in the 100/200 ( 9.95 (+2.1), 20.34) and ran 2nd leg on the 4x1 that ran 39.09 at regionals.

Huge transfer. Can't believe we are at the point where guys running 9.9 are jumping ship. It's brutal out there.

There was something systemic going on at that school. Entire program should have been investigated, not just the coach and two of his athletes.

They are leaving because they are underperforming. UGA recruits itself. Florida, Auburn and others do a much better job actually coaching that kind of talent
