Absolutely not true. At least four other nations that were on the transing kids bandwagon are stepping back and evaluating the mess that is being made of these kids lives. Prior to "affirmation only" policy many teen girls eventually settled into life as lesbians. Unfortunately, many of these girls who are attempting to trans as teens (with no prior gender issues) are now known to have trauma in their lives, have been sexually abused, don't fit it because of autism, or other issues. "Trans" is truly the new "anorexia" or "cutting." There's a social contagion element, especially in schools where these kids are coddled and hugboxed and suddenly get all kinds of special attention.

Thomas would have no problem with competing against men. She did that three years at college. Why couldn't she wait for another year before transitioning?
Kids who are already transitioning as teens are a different matter. Their desire is not about competing "against" other girls, but competing "with" their teammates. They just want to play sports with their friends.

If the female Penn swimmer and parents who have spoken to the press anonymously can be trusted, at year's end Thomas attended the annual male-only annual dinner for the Penn men's swim squad. Which sure seems to undermine the argument that Thomas couldn't possibly continue on the men's swim team after claiming to be a woman because doing anything that would remind Thomas of Thomas's sex would destroy the swimmer's mental health and self-esteem.

Yes, the opportunists in this parasitical movement are causing insult and injury to gay men and lesbians by appropriating, cannibalizing and rewriting gay and lesbian history to make it appear as though gay and lesbian culture and civil right organizing have always been about and for people with same-gender attraction rather than same-sex attraction. Because so many people in this movement have cluster B personality traits or disorders including high rates of narcissism, they're also rewriting history to make it appear as though most notable gay and lesbian figures of the past like Pauli Murray were "trans" or "non-binary" - and that "trans" people were always at the forefront and center of gay and lesbian political organizing.
But even worse, trans activists have long been waging outright war against lesbians, trying to invade and destroy lesbian events and communities in the name of "inclusion." This is because the vast majority of "trans women" today are heterosexual males who see bedding lesbians as the ultimate validation of their gender identities and the way to wreak revenge on women have no sexual interest in males. Just look how they sought to destroy MichFest, the USA's now-defunct major lesbian event, and the concept of "the cotton ceiling."
Also, check out the case of Dana Rivers, a "transwoman" pending trial for brutally murdering a lesbian couple in Oakland CA and their teenage son. Those who've looked into the case in depth say that Rivers was sexually obsessed with and stalking one of the women Rivers allegedly killed.

Due to the mushrooming numbers of tween and teen girls coming out as "trans," now gay men are finding they are under the same sort of threat from heterosexual females who "identify as" gay men that lesbians have been dealing with for decades due to all the heterosexual men who "identify as" women and call themselves lesbians or transbians.
Also, it hasn't escaped notice that the push to "transition" children and adolescents seems motivated by a whole lot of homophobia and will inevitably have the effect of reducing the numbers of well-adjusted, self-accepting, out and proud gay and lesbian adults.
