It should be noted that there is a fundamental difference betwen "trying to sound intelligent" and "sounding intelligent."

That was fun, but back in the real world some random judge somewhere just ruled that Trump can not extend illegal immigrant children's stay to let them stay with their parents while they are being held. Of course this is being done to make sure that the taking-babies-from-their-mothers story carries all the way into the election cycle, but I have to agree with it in that the President should not be able to simply overrule legislation at will.

So Trump should go back to enforcing the laws as written by Congress which means separating kids from their parents after the 20 days is up or simply sending the whole family back to their home country before the asylum process has completed, and tell Congress that if they don't like it they need to change the law.

His self-proclaimed expertise in political science stems from finally flipping heads after the 20th attempt. Now that he found a time in history that his wacko views finally aligned with an election result he believes he is all knowing and that his truth is all that matters, since the result was Trump winning. That’s all it is at the end of the day, a numbskull convinced he’s a genius. The proof is he thinks Trump is a savior genius. All that talk about the rat maze and hatred are simple projections of his simple mind. He would read this post and brush it off as an insult, happy to just keep living in November 2016 when he finally flipped heads.

I like Gary. He is well spoken and thoughtful. I agree with almost everything he says. Trump's campaign manager is in jail for something that happened long ago. Tariffs are ONLY applicable if the president makes an acceptable case under national security grounds; something Trump has not done. Senate Republicans are stating the process to officially constrain Trump's mindless destruction of the U.S economy.

The person leading this is Jeff Flake (Trumpers will immediately attack him). He has started a bill aimed to limit the president’s power under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 to levy tariffs based on “national security grounds” ― a provision Trump has invoked several times. A vote is planned for this Wednesday.
