"After its post Liberation Day low, Donald Trump’s approval rating was on the rebound between April 29th and June 10th. His net approval jumped from -9.7 to -3.6 in that period. But Trump has lost most of those gains over the past few weeks. As of today, 45.3 percent of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing and 51.7 percent disapprove. That’s a net approval rating of -6.2.
"It’s the same story with Donald Trump’s approval on the issues. Here’s how his net approval on immigration, the economy, trade, and inflation have changed in our average between June 10th and today:
Immigration: +4.0 —> -3.7
Economy: -10.9 —> -13.4
Trade: -7.7 —> -14.7
Inflation: -18.6 —> -22.6
"But context is important here. Is Trump less popular than he was a few weeks ago? Yes. Is he now firmly underwater on his best issue (immigration)? Also yes. But he’s still more popular today than he was at this point during his first term. On day 159 of term 1, Trump’s net approval rating was -14.5. That’s about 8 points worse than his term 2 approval rating."
He's more popular than Obama was at this point in his 2nd term.
