So while the ugly Brits prepare to make fun of Trump during his visit, there are very serious things going on in the real world among the adult countries.

The trade war with China is officially on now. I won't pretend to know the relative bargaining positions of the two countries, but as a general rule the party that has failed to push their advantages in the past will have more room to make advances than a country like China that is reported to engage is hard core negotiations at all times. So hopefully Trump can lower some trade barriers in China and get some rule of law regarding intellectual property functioning there.

Of course this trade war will hurt both sides temporarily and the side that can withstand more pain will eventually have the upper hand. China, as an authoritarian government SHOULD be able to take more pain than the US, so that advantage falls to them.

Let's see what happens. At least someone on our side is finally pushing back.

A few things:

1. You’re assuming an awful lot about how I would react in this hypothetical situation.

2. You’re assuming I’m a monarchist.

3. The Queen is the head of state, not our leader. That would be the PM.

4. Your entirely response is simply an attempt to move the argument away from your deliberate misrepresentation of the funding for the balloon protest. Which you refuse to acknowledge or apologize for.

5. Trying to guilt me with spurious statements such as “You would’t do any of that and you know it.” and “you would’t give a damn . . . admit it” won’t work. You owe me an apology.

You say the Brits are "ugly" and embrace Putin and a President who mocks and demeans anyone and anything who challenges him at all. Makes no sense.

Also, they aren't making fun of Trump, they are protesting him. This isn't just for fun on their part, it's a serious statement about the President of the United States.

I am no student of trade wars, but so far everyone and their brother, financial expert or not, on both sides of the aisle, seems to be against this kind of thing from Trump. Seems he should at least listen to some advice from someone. He is not the smartest person in any room, so he needs to take come advice from others.

I deserve to get a Nobel prize in Political Science, Economics, Sociology, and Psychology ... and if the Peace Prize weren't such a joke I could earn that too if people would listen to me, especially the Libs. There is no "science" in "climate science", so I can't get a Nobel prize for that, but my prize for Political Science covers it.
