Sorry if this has already been covered, but why is it that the right wing is so fervently claiming that Tyler Robinson didn't commit this murder?

I mean, every social media platform and YouTube are just filled with videos, by NRA gun nuts, Joe Rogan, you name it... all right wingers, casting doubt on the "FBI narrative," and claiming the bullet came from the side or the back, showing that Robinson couldn't have had a rifle when he "escaped," and that the text messages are obviously baloney, and on and on.

It is low hanging fruit for the online fruit loops like Candace Owen, et al, when the FBI and Utah law enforcement officials and prosecutors have done a pretty lousy job of putting together this case.

But there is definitely a need among right wingers to change the narrative as the heart of fascist ideology is victimhood. Kirk is not as much of a martyr when he was assassinated by a 22 year old white kid from a very conservative family. And that kid just looks to have been mad at Kirk for his views on LGBTQ people and was not part of any conspiracy or had any affiliation with any left advocacy groups or even the dreaded antifa. That actually makes the right look weak in that they are supposed to be the political movement that conquers the invading immigrants and criminals in our cities by deploying armed forces to use "full force" against those who oppose them. Their great leader Charlie Kirk could not possibly have been picked off by some random 22 year old gay kid with a deer rifle. It had to have been some great cabal inside the deep state that mobilized elite CIA operators to take out Kirk at the urging of Netanyahu or wherever they are going with this today.

Because Tyler’s personal life has been revealed to be that of your average leftist male. Man on man sex, furry action, Tyler’s boyfriend was a pre-op trans, etc. Any leftist dude will say “…what’s not to like?” At the same time they know how bizarre this stuff is to normal people, how strange it is, so they are dying to cover it all up.

If anything, Robinson, a paragon of leftist living and lifestyles, needs to be dragged through the mud as harshly as possible. Just because.

1. Any leftist who takes a weird stance on this murder is working against America’s interests.

2. Clearly, it’s not ONLY leftists who take such a weird and harmful stance.

If you want to go with “but leftists do so more frequently,” I think the answer might be “when the victim is a political ‘opponent’ the ‘other side’ is more likely to take the vulture stance,” but still, I can grant you that possible statistical reality if you are willing to live by the statistical reality that the proportion of those left of center who rejoice in Kirk’s killing is relatively small, albeit alarmingly high.

So the outcome, as ever, is that a principled take about right and wrong is the only way to combat what is wrong. A partisan attempt to label “them” as the sole wrongdoers is just a path toward finger-pointing from both sides and a race to the bottom.
