As a recent Longhorn track alumni these hires have been very interesting.
Regarding the multi's vertical jumps position it seems that no one wants to work for Edrick.
As for the multi's event group Steele is not a first team all american neither is Ashtin Wolf was 8th in 2017. Steele is a political nightmare. The team wasn't happy with the sh*t he pulled getting out of indoors just to get a 5th year at Texas or elsewhere. He was pretty obviously a pain for Mario and then Ty to coach as well. About as selfish as they come. Wolf believes he is the best coach for himself and Ashtin. Thais what one all american performance does? Definition of entitlement problems that were on the team and I am sure still are. Ashtin is a mental nightmare believing she cant be successful if Wolf isn't at the meets coaching her I saw recently attributed all success to Wolf not Mario or Ty day to day coaching all year etc. Personally I saw the lack of respect, trust and entitlement of certain athletes and seems it has not changed. A shame.
This is Jason Patrick, a Longhorn alumni and parent . Whoever wrote this post talking about student-athletes and coaches that are near and dear to me- and seemed to make this look like me by saying you are an alumni, and did not specifically mention my son. I am not sure what problems you have with these outstanding young people and Texas- but you need help. I am reporting this and hopefully LRC bans you from this site forever. Texas is a class program, and these are class athletes with class coaches, even the ones know longer working with Texas.
Wow!!!
