MOST parents who receive SNAP would not blow their cash on that kind of self-indulgence, but we know that some would, especially the addicts. Receiving food stamps that (allegedly) can *only* be used for nutrition might be a help to the kids in those families--and even if the situation would only apply to 6% of SNAP kids, we're still talking about a million children.
*I know in advance what some people's responses will be; I guess I'm directing the question to thoughtful individuals, those who might not make a snap (sorry) answer in any direction.
