When will coaches like Petros and others stop acting like they gave genetic birth to these talented (HS National record holding) men & women. Is it not a coincidence that he takes credit for all of these champions, but 5/5 of them broke collegiate/American records AFTER leaving him. Recruiter HELL YES! Elite development… That’s TBD as of now. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’d send my son or daughter to multiple other coaches before I have to listen to this self absorbing egomaniac brag about his Godliness.

All you're doing is exposing how little you understand about what this profession ACTUALLY is...versus what it is not. If this sort of thing (which has been an obvious reality in this profession for at least 20 years now) still upsets you enough to come on here & anonymously insult people you don't know for having some success, then you need to move on to treadmill sales, recruiting services or real estate. Because you're "that guy" who "doesn't get it."

just a quick google search shows he actually did a great job developing them to a very high level. Nothing wrong promoting your abilities as a coach. That’s called recruiting. Every major school does that, hell Edrick started a hashtag #floknows lol and why not!

If I’m not mistaken, all but Garland were national HS record holders, but none surpassed the collegiate record, or achieved their highest levels until ANOTHER coach coached them. Sorry, I'm numbers guy, not a hype guy. Once again, I think he’s an ELITE recruiter, but I’m not sold on his overall development. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m no Petros hater, but I’m a pure fan of the sport that honestly hates when coaches take maximum credit on minimal achievements. I’ve commented on on multiple “God’s Gifts” post, so please don’t take this personal. Sorry!

You do sound like a hater lol. You clearly here to rant at someone with a great coaching record just like most of the elite coaches just because you are irritated by a graphic made to boost recruiting..25+ ncaa champions in jumps/Multis and you are trying to convince us your not convinced. Wish you good luck in developing your ncaa champions. Back to jobs!

You’re equally as motivated at uplifting a coach that turned his back on me and multiple other athletes on behalf of himself. The difference between you and I is I’ve lived it. You’re just defending it! Let’s count how many of those former champions are still willing to stand by his side… 3-2-1… ✌️

Very few of those athletes would choose to go with Petros if they could rewind and do it over again, performances be damned. Most realized how self absorbed he was after year one. Definitely by year 2. It’s always the Petros show. When those athletes left for whatever reason and got around mature adults with consistent and supportive training environments they realized how much they were actually missing when they were at Georgia. With PK, when you were healthy and performing as expected then he would kiss your butt and give you whatever you wanted and ignore the other kids. If you were injured or performing below the level he had expected then he would turn quite nasty and talk trash about you to anyone standing close by and try to run you off.

That's what most HC and directors do, right? You go to those schools to perform, not make friends.

Your comment is funny, regardless of what I said or what you’re saying nothing changes in our lives from them. I don’t agree with the process although ultimately I’ve always been able to rise above it. History shows that it doesn’t go well 9/10 times. So what’s your point.
