Fired or quit? I thought he resigned to take another job about two months ago
Heard Cooper was gone but no report on where he surfaced. Anyone? Jarius?
Who's JJ hiring?
Anything out of Idaho? They've got multiple spots to fill and silence...
because its all being done behind the scenes and waiting til everyone is there maybe.
I'm just a PhD student at Idaho and post-collegiate runner, so I am around the athletic department and have some close personal relationships with people within the athletic department, including a member of the hiring committee for this position.
Without dropping names or being too specific, here is what I know to be true: there was an on-campus interview last week and there are two on-campus interviews this week. Those 3 finalists include a current NAIA coach from a top distance program at that level, a current Division II coach from a national caliber program, and a former Division I coach who has been out of the game for a few years.
What I heard today, but don't know the reliability of, is that Idaho is hoping to announce the new coach on Monday, Nov. 4th. Whoever it is, I hope they keep letting me do workouts in the Kibbie Dome during the winter at my usual time.

What events?
Assumption is that the throws coach left. Wouldn’t be surprised if former coach stepped in and this position is more of an admin type until they hire who they want full time
The Kibbie Dome is a nice spot, one of the bright spots of Moscow, hope you get to continue training there.

I always thought taking a break from coaching was a death sentence as far as not being able to get back in it but I suppose it’s not or just they had a lack of applicants.

Did Sue Parks get demoted or canned? Just asking because of Best and Roberts being in charge now?
She stepped down as director and promote those two into the roles.
