he's got stuck in a cycle of announcing an overly ambitious goal, uploading precisely one video to document that, and then disappearing for months at a time because he got injured
I don't hold as negative views as on Matt (and Kelly) as some of the extremists on Tattle Life, but I can't decide which influencer trait I dislike the most:
- Stupid training whilst claiming to be a coach
- Obscene spending on gear
- Jumping from brand to brand every other month whilst claiming to not be biased
- Treating fans/people that give the influencer clicks & views like fools by throwing out stupid goals that never get mentioned again
It's time to catch up with our favorite running YouTubers!
The Greatest of All Time, Still the Original Running YouTuber is going meta and digging up a comment from four years ago that inspired the DeMoor Store and is thanking people who are members! You get emoji if you become a member. He's also commenting on his increased upload schedule. He definitely reads this thread! Good luck in New Jersey Seth, hoping you get your PR.
Kofuzi is running around a track in Kenya with Thomas. Not sure if Kiprun or Nike paid for this junket. He's also hawking the Runna Holiday/Vacation/Trip mode...I'm sure he makes frequent use of that with all his travel.
His friends Robbe and Meaghan are talking about the new Nike Vaporfly. Thomas isn't wearing them bc he's wearing a different shoe (probably New Balance) in London.
Chris Fordy Ford is doing it. Doun’t think he’ll win though.
Looks like he ran steady then "walked it in" from about 20 miles.
I've no idea what the plan is for this man. It looks like he tapered for this one this week as he only ran 20k before race day. I could possibly understand running a marathon at easy pace at the end of a longish week, potentially, but how is this man a qualified coach?
Ps. Chris Thompson, who is great, started it. He gave the worst speech - talked about his son running the mini mile the day before. Paula has even more charisma

I was spectating this today, saw him 3-4 and he didn’t look as strained as other runners. Lots of the quicker runs really tailed off quite aggressively in the last 10k. It’s a tough stretch, really quiet and boring and would have been either baking in to a 15-20mph headwind.
What I did find staggering though was the sheer number of runners with “Fordy Runs” T-shirts on though. Unbelievable
Fordy Runs is massive in the UK. Theres always hundreds of them at bigger events.
I'm ok with it to be fair. They aren't claiming to be world class athletes. They are people doing their own thing for the love of the sport and for the social side. I don't think its especially expensive to join, and most events they do are low/zero costs. I think fundamentally their hearts are in the right places.
I admit I don't bother with the shoe reviews they put out. And I don't see much in the way of training advice offered by them either. (they obviously have a tie in with the Coopah app) So if I wanted that I'd look elsewhere
As for Brighton, its never been the fastest course. But its an OK event. The last 10k has always been flat and exposed though. The drag up past the marina is thankfully early on.

Sorry I gotta be the bad guy but Allie posted a short on 5 tips for shin splints 12 days ago. How's that tibia doing now? She says she's been dealing with shin splints since HS. She's giving out advice on shin splints like these shoetubers give out training advice. But we're to believe her advice is good and it's just that she's training so hard or genetically susceptible that she gets injured anyway? The strength work she showed was a joke. At least heel walks are working ankle dorsiflexion, but the stimulus is so small. There must be some resistance for it to be effective.
She's the stereotypical perpetually tight runner, addicted to foam rolling rather than ever understanding how to relax and release tension.
If anyone is looking for another smaller YouTuber who is legit, I just stumbled across Charlie Teeter’s channel. Full time engineer, former D3 runner, ran 2:18 at CIM in December in his first marathon (from what I can tell). Seems chill and actually fast
New series by Alex Yee (Olympic triathlon gold medalist) following his build to the London Marathon. I enjoyed this first episode. Not massive. Mileage but supported with a bit of bike and swim. Officially my pick for the battle of the (fledgling) Youtubers!

Anyone male on Tattle is a virgin who was bullied at school and any female on Tattle is a menopausal midlife crisis who’s partners are cheating on them 😂😂😂
