We, as Americans, should be better than this.

I agree. If I owned a restaurant and she came into it, I would serve her and make sure that her meal was up to the standards or all other meals in the restaurant, and if anyone did anything improper to her meal or said anything to her that was rude, they would be fired immediately. You don't have to agree with someone or even respect someone to treat them fairly and with civility.

Kindness should always be the goal.

That's not good enough. We should be above that kind of petty stuff. Retaliating in any way other than verbally or in writing or at the ballot box is too far. She should have been served. Don't have to shake her hand or make pleasant small talk with her, but to refuse her service is not what America should be about, and it's not what I'm about and what decent people are about.

1) I was talking about what is right, not legal. It is not right to refuse service to someone based on their personal views or who they work for. There could be some exceptions in there...I likely would not serve someone who tried to kill me for example.

2) I can understand why people would not want to serve Sarah Sanders. I wouldn't WANT to either, but you have to have a strong sense of what is right and be above the fray at all times to keep your integrity. It is right, it is kind to serve her. Petty actions receive counter petty actions, and that's not helpful.
