$85k is the top of the scale and I'd bet that USF doesn't want to bring a coach in for anything above $75k. This means that the new hire will net $4k-$4.5k per month.
Studios in a decent neighborhood cost close to $2k per month and one bedrooms in the same neighborhood go for at least $2.5k per month and you won't get parking with that. Budget another $1k per month for basic necessities and living becomes tight. Rent could be a little bit cheaper in the east bay or on the peninsula, but would be offset by transportation costs.
From what I've heard they're looking for a multis coach similar to the guy who left. I wouldn't bet on USF finding a proven coach for what they're offering and if they do, that person won't stick around long. That's USF.
