Both sides really only care about limiting the success of the other side. They really don’t care about the issues. They only care to oppose the other side, even if they once agreed with that particular position or if their side once did the same thing.

People on the left would always be outraged by policies causing innocent children to be taken from their parents needlessly. And Democrats would always be looking for ways to strengthen the safety net (ala the ACA).

Yup. Because you become a potential blackmail victim. Financial trouble is another way you will quickly lose a security clearance. The only people who can get security clearance if they have issue they can be blackmailed for are Trump staffers. Trump gets to make the decisions on who gets a clearance and gets to join his staff.

Here's a hint for you - any post that "wonder's if" Lying Gary was right in some point he previously made is posted by Lying Gary himself.

Right now Lying Gary is in hiding, posting under different handles, too embarrassed by Trump caving on his "Ripping Babies from their Mothers Act (RBMA)". Not embarrassed by the RBMA itself - just the fact that Trump caved.

Trump totally punted on immigration reform.

He expects Republicans to flip 9 Democrat senators, hold all Republican senator seats and win the majority of House seats in November.

Then try immigration again in January.

That is not going to happen.

Even the most optimistic, non-delusional Republicans know that is not going to happen.
