You do realize that Engels was about to quit when he left N.C. State and hadn't done anything in 2.5 years? And Vanhoy led Domanic to a 3:54 mile this summer as well as dropping Wallings 5k PR 30 seconds to 13:31? Not any coach could do that... Not saying vanhoy is the greatest ever, but you have to produce even when you're given good opportunities
all of these guys had A++ credentials and were ready to break out, regardless of who was the coach at their school. What are their prospects, this year? Who has the coach recruited (from other schools) this year?
Seriously. Can you guys move all of this VanHoy stuff elsewhere? You guys are truly hijacking this thread with something that is inconsequential to what is actually going on.

First day of permissible competition is Sept 1; NCAA rules permit practices starting using a formula based on the start of classes.

DI cross country can start practice 21 practice units from the 1st date of competition. Kids are arriving this weekend.

What's not true is that the top athlete going with.
Transferring as a senior would be dumb.
Lets hope that Roger Cooke lands someplace good if not at the University of Hartford which is a program in need of alot of help.
