Horses*it. Robert already uploaded the data to Tomtom, as his screenshot shows. All they have to do is sync it with strava. It won't be deleted and can't be deleted just by linking strava to tomtom. The Laz guys could also video everything done with the watch if and when they get it so that we know they didn't f___ it up.

I think we have enough circumstantial evidence to nail him in the court of anyone except his cult followers. I get the sense that most of them FB are from UK and are not even runners or very slower joggers at best. They have no concept of what is realistic and not. I mean nobody with RY's credentials will crank out sub 7 min miles in middle of 70 miles run day after day.

I still can't fathom the notion that these clowns are unable to post the watch data. Uploading runs from a watch to Strava is about as complicated as making toast.

I think he is as fake as hell, but he did participate in the Run Across America with a large number of USA ultra runners - they all seem to continue to support him, again, it is the "he's a good guy refrain". But it is quite a large contingent that are still backing him.

This is key. Every minute they delay tips the scales more and more to cheating, and it's already pretty far toward cheating. My guess is that they forgot about or didn't consider the cadence (which everyone thinks would be calculated on the TomTom watch) - the cadence not being there is proof positive - and they are desperately figuring out how to fake it or come up with a story as to why it was not there.

Except that publicly it looks bad that "they did everything to try to stop poor Rob and they even sent a team to investigate him and found nothing"

What a joke. He supposedly did 70 mile average for 3 weeks and then he got "tired" when somebody is watching?

But at least he did 54 miles under supervision that might be his new real PB in 24 hours.

By the way, what are the criteria for just holding the actual record, sort of like Jurek and the Appalachian Trail? I found it very suspect that Jurek beat the record only by a couple of hours. I bet this guy Young will do the same... barely slide in with a few hours to go.

Rob's is going to slow down a lot once he hits the Appalachians. He is no lock to average 60 miles per day to NYC.

That is very telling. On top of that the previous high mileage days before that had plenty of time and energy for extracurricular fun. Now his extra time is spent walking miles. In one of the flattest states on the continent too now.

I just had a bright idea. What if Robert Young wears healies or puts Teflon strips on the bottom of his shoes? That way he can skate on flat ground and glide down hills and go much faster without breaking any of the rules.

If this was a movie somebody would have already tapped into the Walgreen's security cam system and would be live-streaming them as they walk around the store, and then would post their register receipt so we would know what was bought. Then to the parking lot cams to watch them walk back to the RV and drive away. Or not. This would also be a good place to stop for the night - there are two pizza parlors down the block, a liquor store across the street and a steakhouse around the corner.

I used to live in IL. I guarantee all those places are closed except Walgreens.
