Seems you’re on to something….
Ball State make a hire? They have posted 2 assistant positions. Who is the new head?
Texas State sent out their "thanks but no thanks" emails late last week about their distance position, with UTRGV doing the same today. Interested to see who the hires are!
Michigan Finalists. Martin, Astrauskas, and Lambert
Sounds like three guys trying to get raises at their current positions

They did not put his race at the forefront…they put a first for the athletic department at the forefront.
We should all be able to agree that this was awkward at best and in very bad taste at worst (it very much cheapens the hire and regardless of his qualifications it makes it seem like they hired someone for a press release that some people wanted to see, for whatever reason).
There would never have been a post “first Asian hire, first blonde women, first person of Arab decent hired, first Jewish hire, first Italian hire” this was clearly an orchestrated agenda move. I hope he was consulted before posting that, would make it a tiny bit better.
Well lets see. San Jose State is known because of the multitude of African-American men that made the institution famous. African Americans have dominated NCAA for the last two generations, but yet we have only seen any substantial increase in the number of black head coaches in the last 15 years.
You seem upset that white guys aren't in charge of everything anymore.
Maybe they are good athletes and not so good at coaching? Or Leading?
Ball State has posted at least one assistant coaching position, maybe two. They put out a press release and video this evening for the start of cross country training camp. But no head coach (or any coach) has been announced. No coaches in the xc press release or video. It looks like the team is coaching itself right now.
One of the stranger coaching hiring situations I’ve ever seen.
I assume they offered and the candidate just hasn’t moved there yet, or it’s an Ohio U scenario where they are only going to hire a woman or a minority and they keep getting turned down from those candidates.
Anyone know anything about what is going on in this bizarre situation at Ball State?

So....you are saying Black people aren't good at coaching black people in track & field? Is that what you are saying?
Another idiotic comment from some white guy about black people.

Hard to believe the most qualified applicant to the Dartmouth head coaching job only has 3 years of paid coaching experience.
Why in the world leave UNC for the same roll at George Washington? Seems like a backwards step?? And giving up all kinds of resources at UNC. 🤯🤯🤯
I would hire her any day!!

1. She was the assistant to the assistant at UNC.....Dylan promoted to Women's head coach. This position at George Washington will make her 2nd in command
2. An opportunity to build a team from the ground up to prove she can recruit without all those so called "resources" .....spoilers....it can be done
3. Terry has a great history of putting his assistants into better jobs. His goal is to get them better jobs after 2 to 3 years of good work.
That's why
