Back in November, Ted introduced legislation to stop the use of preferred names or pronouns for transgender people. The senator's legal name is Rafael Edward Cruz, but he has gone by his preferred name, Ted, for years.

But since the "both" above is 100% accurate, I have a hard time getting excited about Tucker embarrassing Cruz. Tucker made millions and millions of dollars knowingly lying to his viewers nightly. And, if memory, serves, was only fired after his employer lost 3/4 of a billion over it. So, do I take much pleasure in him playing gotcha with another huge douche? No.
Moreover, I'm at least somewhat in agreement with Cruz above. Sure, it might be preferable if he knew the population (and MAYBE he did, but forgot in the moment?), and it can be viewed as embarrassing that he didn't. But does it invalidate a geopolitical opinion? Of course not. Intelligent, thoughtful, knowledgeable adults have all kinds of very valid opinions about geopolitics, and most or all of them are NOT contingent on, as Cruz says, memorizing population sizes.
Back to Tucker, if you got fired for lying for a living, am I interested in ANYTHING that you have to say, including criticizing someone's knowledge of demographics? No. Never. The fact that ANYONE listens to anything he says is just the umpteenth reminder of how f-up our "great" country is.
