So Trump has now flip flopped and says that “we” (the US) have taken over the skies of Iran after claiming this was Israel’s war.
So which is it?
1. Is Trump doing that thing he does where he tries to take credit when things go well even if they don’t involve him?
2. Is the US prosecuting this war against Iran?
Major military lessons learned in my lifetime:
1) Good News: First rate powers often do MUCH BETTER against the second and third rate powers than all of the smarty pants experts predict beforehand. Nope. Saddam's Iraq and Revolutionary Iran were very formidable. Not really. Similarly, USSR and/or Russia were 10 feet tall. Not really.
2) Bad News: First rate powers fighting insurgencies is still a HUGE bit*h.

I will also acknowledge that it's a LITTLE early to write off Iran. Certainly not as strong as some probably predicted.....but it ain't over, yet.
So, thank god that Donny came home early to fix it.
We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. And he likely wouldn't have done one bit better as a 45 year old. MOST of the problems with Trump have NOTHING to do with his age or diaper status.

It's me, Agip, of 15+ years and 40,000 posts. Lately absent.
Fact is, I wasn't planning to be absent, but I unjustly got a lifetime ban. I asked to be restored, but whatever LRC did to unban me didn't work, so I remain banned.
I'm writing from a library computer.
I think it is better if I stay banned. I've been arguing with strangers in these parts for years...and you know what...doing so hasn't made me feel any better. No one here is going to change his mind, the trolls will continue to rile up the people.
I think I have more peace of mind without daily yelling at strangers and reading their shameless lies.
So I'm not swearing off this place - if a dramatic change were to happen in US politics, I'll probably try to figure out how to get unbanned. Maybe in the leadup to midterms.
I have in no way changed my politics. Trump and m'aga have done more damage to this nation than any group since the Confederacy. What his critics predicted would happen hasn't been as bad as the reality.
I will miss some of you and consider you internet friends. I wish the good eggs well.
But I'm better off avoiding the conflict on this board, so for now the six-legged doggo is out.
