Conditions were way better for the w1500.
Genze has two modes: microdose and macrodose. Today was the former. Obiri was no dose.

Christian Taylor will be a senator one day.
Crouser just threw 22.53, #18 all time, meet record and his 2nd best mark all time.
Serious question. Why 13-14 minutes between the w400 and the m200? That's like a half time in a real sport. It could literally be 4-5 minutes. Is it to let people go to the concession stand?

This is actually an improvement for grace on some of the races in her indoor season, I think in a year or so once she’s used to the increase volume she will be back to her old self and, hopefully, even better.
I hope you are right, but I'm not as sure as you seem to be that she'll get there. If you look at her record, her time today just wasn't that surprising. She's only run faster than 4:06.65 twice. One of those was 4:05:65, the other the 4:03.59 at last year's Pre. Add in that she's not getting any younger and I have to wonder if this is who she is.
Houlihan, on the other hand...

In theory it'd be better to do field events separate like this so they never overlap and we don't have to interrupt the distance races. But it would be logistically pretty tough. Maybe it's a TV scheduling thing for commercial breaks.
There's not going to be a world record in the 5000m in the middle of the afternoon in late May in Eugene. It was a bit windy and warmer than perfect. She showed with that 61 close in a 14:25 that she can once again run mid 14 teens.
Tremendous throw by Crouser, 73-11, four guys over 70.
Lyles continues his tear this season, 19.69!!!!!! Let's see if it's windy

First read is +2.0 exactly, that's legal! Was about even with Makwala at 100m but Makwala pulled up. Incredible strength that last 100.
Legal! 19.69
Lyles is so money.
Domination! Looked like he was gonna beat Makwala anyway

People just don't realize how hard dibaba's WR is , and what it is going to take to take it down. This is Genzebe 4th time going after the WR with the same result running around 14:25. I just don't think that she has the patience, as well as Ayana, to run 14:10.
Makwala grabbed his hamstring...nothing but bad luck for that guy sadly. Living seeing Lyles on top though.

Nice kit, Centro.
Has Clayton Murphy slimmed down a bit?
