What makes Seattle special right now is synergy. In a matter of a few minutes in the fourth quarter last night, Lynch, Wilson and Sherman had plays which would be lifetime highlights for most any player in the NFL. They just fed off each other's mojo to put the game away in a fell swoop. They are no longer just a great defense with a "game manager" on offense: Russell blew away everyone else this week for fantasy points (36 to Romo's 27).
That said, I love the prospect of a NFC matchup with the Cowboys.
Dear sweet mother. The week before Wilson was #47 for fantasy football leaders. Beckham was #1. But lets crown Wilson over Romo because he led in fantasy football during one week. Romo has a passer rating of 114.4. Wilson's passer rating is 95.7. End of comparison!
Wilson sucks. Everytime I watch him he's missing easy targets. There's a reason why he is #20 in completion percentage. He has NO accuracy. None. A typical Wilson play is to drop back...nobody's open wide enough for him (whereas 20 other QBs could easily connect with one of the receivers)....so he scrambles right, then throws it out of bounds or takes off running because of his lack of an arm.
An actual QB, the great Aaron Rodgers was asked by a reporter why he doesn't take off running more & utilize his speed. He replied, if I'm taking off running, then something went wrong on the play. Either I (Rodgers) failed to find the open receiver or pass protection broke down. Wilson taking off running as much as he does is not a good sign.
If you want to watch an actual quarterback, watch Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Romo, Ryan, Manning, Roethlisberger, Rivers. I give Wilson about 2 years until someone knocks him out & slows him down to where he has to depend on his arm & then it's over. Over.
