Super pumped for this 5000 actually. It’s weird having such a small field but the field is more evenly matched than the women’s 3000, at least on paper
when they first announced kingston , i pointed out that nobody came out for the national championships, this year, and nobody came out when Bolt was running, actually a couple.
i was thinking they had an ace up their sleeve. apparently NOT
still what ever happens, it is something to refine and improve.
there are good track announcers out there, find them.
the television, can show the crowd just at the finish per CNN style, and let's see what the product optics are.
it is great to see at least it lift off and some races. enjoy.
I believe a key strategic mistake they have made here is not opening up in Philly. It’s your best/most complete stadium that would look most legit on the hard cam and there were ways you get a “Penn Relays’esque” crowd in there at least for the launch night of your product. This is a tough look. Little things are going to matter here.
MJ's plan always centered around a London event. Which he couldn't achieve.
This will lose so much money.
And it’s quite simple why. Johnson didn’t want to work with the DL (because he knows best right?), so the DL (and mafia-like family of European track) was smart and never publicly trashed GST (they “embraced” them) - but they knew without even one European meet there is little to no chance this works. So they did all they needed to do, very silently, without a fuss. And this is what we got (shrugging shoulders).
