Ingebrigtsen blew it. Everyone was in the race going into the bell lap when he needed to go out harder and run the kick out of everyone. 2nd year in a row of this happening, makes you wonder why the tactics didn't change from 2022 compared to 2023
Damn he almost wasn't even the first Norwegian, 0.03... Jakob just doesn't have a whole lot of speed and the rest of the world has been getting quicker over the 1500, he's always going to be at risk if the pace isn't brisk the whole way like Tokyo.
Jakob really needs a strategy rethink. He towed another Brit to the front. Should probably start treating the DL as races instead of time trials unless his only goal is the world record. He's like Sagan/Wout in cycling, can't just blast to the front if you're the fastest and tow someone else.
I think just drive from 700 out instead of 1100 out does the job. Much like El G used to do.
