The trans community faces a ton of hate & does deserve to be treated fairly in all of the arenas listed above. At the end of the day, we're talking about high school sports and using one example to justify an argument. They didn't win the race & one of their competitors hugged them right after the race. How many state meets happen in the US? How many included trans athletes? The hyper-focus on this issue is concerning. Why do we have such strong feelings on this and who does that serve? Nobody is losing a scholarship. Should high school athletics create a solution to a small problem? Idk. This isn't some widespread thing that's happening everywhere. Maybe there should be a separate division at this level or higher up. But it shouldn't demand this much of our time or our anger.
