I was thinking that the real missed opportunity by the Harvard/Wharton Bud Light “marketing guru” is she should’ve just carved out another category like Zima. Do an offshoot like that. It doesn’t offend anybody, offendable or not, & it helps enhance the brand. Nobody she’s catering to is going to drink Bud Light in the long run anyway, and all millennials drink are craft brews. Why go borrowing trouble?
Bud Light is awful to begin with, and you aren’t going to add new consumers. You are only going to alienate your NASCAR base. Some of them will never come back. I have a buddy who only drinks Stella, and he’s done with it since it’s owned by Anheiser Busch. Again, whether it impacts their personal life or not, people are pissed off that this crap is constantly shoved down their throats (not Bud Light, just the over-the-top wokeness). They wouldn’t care otherwise. Some would but most wouldn’t. Now they do. Great job Bud Light marketing guru. I’d be shocked if she keeps her job.
I liked how being made aware of something is "shoving it down your throat". That's a freaking lame excuses for whiners.
It's not Bud Light's fault you guy internalize everything as a personal attack. Grow the hell up and learn that the world is done catering to you.
The head of marketing is quite open that she doesn't like the brand's "outdated" and "frat boy" image. Those refusing to drink Bud are just helping her achieve her goal. It might hurt their bottom line but that's what she wants.

True, and it probably will hurt their bottom line, because demand among the LGTBQ2S+ community isn’t going to make up for lost sales. I don’t think that’s her goal though, and it’s amazing to me that a Wharton grad can’t see this for an inferior beer like Bud Light, especially one who apparently acted fratty herself at many a college party. Ironic.
Legit question. If the right is all into freedoms, the constitution, our rights, etc, then why do they want to constantly censor everything. Books on slavey? Gone. Books on holocaust? Gone? Trans? Cancelled. Gay? Nope, cant have that. There are dozens and dozens of examples throughout the country of complete and utter nazi stuff going on with banning books and teachings of HISTORY. And what’s funny (if you can say it’s funny) is more often than not these right wingers are saying they want this censorship because it makes them feel bad. It makes them feel responsible for things they didn’t do. Or makes them feel uncomfortable. I mean how sensitive and emotional are these people? What kind of wimp of a person says “you can’t teach black history because it makes me feel like I did something wrong”. Too many in the GOP - males in particular - are the biggest, most sensitive fascists to ever live. Fact.
And then you get the Hannity’s and Carlson’s whining you can’t say anything anymore or be misogynist, etc. wtf? Who can’t say anything. A liberal can’t say gay in front of you. A liberal can’t put a book on slavery on your desk. Who can’t say or do anything?

You're overthinking it.
Transexuals make up like what, .5% of the population and engage in a lifestyle most people don't agree with. So put the face of one of these clowns on the side of a can of beverage that mainly conservatives drink and there's your outrage.
Cut off your penis and act like a clown on tiktock, IG, etc and get an endorsement deal? What, if anything about that, is virtuous?
No conservative wants to ban those topics. However, that’s different from banning people from “teaching” (indoctrinating) that police are inherently racist and 2023 America is 1950 Mississippi

Every company normalizing mental illness is what I would call "shoving it down everyone's throats." Maybe you resonate with all this woke hysteria enough to buy into all the bizarre ideas being pushed, but many don't and don't like being told to believe things that aren't true. Tell Bud Light I said "enjoy your loss."
Why was AB’s value up $2 billion today? I thought you guys told me their Bud Light sales were down 80%
Stock price fell off the cliff Monday.
Small rebound since....speculation
“Fell off a cliff Monday” - down $1.38
”Small rebound” - up $0.96
Tell me more about how vastly different those are and, again, explain how it’s not down more if Bud Light sales are down 80% as a (gullible) poster claimed.

Exactly. Dude gets over $1 million a year as an “influencer.” Also endorsed by Tampax and some bra company even though he/she/it has no tits. Nobody cared about this he/she or the trans community until it was quite literally put it in their faces. Many of them don’t see it as an acceptable lifestyle. So don’t force it on them and tell them they have to embrace something that defies fundamental biology or they are just hateful. Especially when it is such a small, small portion of society. Just leave them alone and they will do the same. F around and find out.
It was to celebrate his "365 days of womanhood," which is implicitly supportive of the ideology which states men can be women. They chose to celebrate mental illness and destructive ideologies and they got burned. And no, the opposite, I think most would rather companies remain apolitical, or at least not promote Gender theory and other bizarre woke ideologies.
By any reasonable metric Mulvaney is someone any company would want to associate with. She has a billion channel views and 10 million subscribers.
If you want them to be neutral then that would mean ignoring the fact she's trans and working with her. If you want them to overlook her phenomenal amount of followers and refuse to work with her because she's trans, THAT is political.
Now you're really grasping at straws. Mulvaney isn't anywhere near the top of Tiktok influencers in terms of views and subscribers. Bud Light's new marketing VP specifically chose him because he's trans, and they wanted to promote trans ideology (this message is implicit in them celebrating his "365 days of womanhood"). They could have chosen many other influencers with more reach, especially within their target demographic, but they didn't and their sales took a massive hit.
