I think Jack Huber initiated the contact, bulldozed the other runner and should have been DQ's and banned. He was reckless and stupid. Since he didn't pass when it was safe, He should have just followed the convoy though at that point. At the end of long distance races runners are often veering all over the course delirious and on dead legs, I never heard of this track rule being enforced on the roads, it doesn't even apply.
The race director was negligent in not have a wide finishing area and not having soft crashproof barriers. The they DQ'd the wrong runner.
Jake Huber is negligent and dangerous to others.

Again, I think everything should be forgiven. Mr Jack Huber did wrong, but we all make mistakes in this crazy world. He’s not a bad man.

Agreed and I understand your generosity. I'm not buying the self serving story Jack Huber and his buddy Cameron Davis tell at all. He needs to own up to being reckless in not going around on the left where there was way more room and since he testified he had a lot left in his legs he didn't need to kamikaze at the last 40 yards at the pinch point he could have passed way early if that was the case. Glad a better runner beat these drafting chumps, Gerry Lingren and Steve Prefontaine would be ashamed of them, in their fancy $300 running shoes having to draft of of others and make them do the work. Then saying looking back is weird...not true. What Jack Huber did was wrong and dangerous but he probably will never take any responsibility for his actions here and too many are giving him a free pass. He does not deserve the entitlement. Next year I hope many elite racers draft them the whole race then kamikaze past them right at the line. That would be Karma.

I am willing to go above and beyond and take measures to put this matter to rest, for I am willing to be the better man.
One such suggestion: Mr Huber and I could have a beer summit. He would need to come to DC; I have far too much going on and quite frankly DC is a more important place. I could even take video of the summit and would allow LetsRun to post it on their homepage.I would also be willing to introduce Mr Huber to some very important people I know, who could help him get a job that actually matters and get his life started for real.
Finally, if and when Mr Huber did move to DC, I could help him decide which running club to join, and would write an eloquent letter of recommendation on his beehalf (sic)

If anything the Jostling/obstructing rule would apply (Cameron Davis 3rd place coming back to unnecessarily loiter in the finish chute seems to violate the spirit of this rule as he seemingly affected the time of the runner coming in next) and that rule is rarely enforced. Run through he chute and get out of the way of the finish line, totally classless move on your part. we don't know what other antics you, jack, and ryan did other than this earlier in the race but I sense the cowardliness and entitlement. Hopefully karma comes back to bite you
