neumanium and cubed ice. also in that episode....at the end jerry asks neuman if he booked his party for the millenium new year and neuman says yes (1999). jerry goes on to explain that since there was no year "0" the millenium does not begin until 2001, making neuman's party a year late and thus, quite lame. does this make sense to anyone? isn't it a year early? just wondering?
Jerry's joke is correct. Since there is no year 0, the end of the second millenium would be at the end of the year 2000. So the millenium new year (the one newman booked) would be new year's eve 2000. so he'a a year late with his party.
What team blew the game in The Seinfeld Chronicles pilot?

Sorry, I'm missing something here.
If Neuman books a party for 1999, but it should have been booked for 12/31/00, then his party would still be early, since the last time I checked, 12/31/99 preceeded 12/31/00.
as Monk's Cafe says, newman booked a 12/31/00 party.
you are missing the fact that 1999 was the big year for new year's eve parties, regardless of whether it technically was the end of the millenium or not.
the party should have been 12/31/99. so it's late.
Why did Steinbrenner's brother once get put in a mental institution?
they missed a great chance to have the real Steinbrener do a cameo on the show. Can you imagine big stein actually turning toward the camera sometime and it really was GS?
can't believe that they missed the obvious with that one.
actually it was kramer who had the cubed ice which forced newman to hold a joint party
After reading the script, I see where you (and the others) are coming from. From the script:
JERRY: By the way Newman, I'm just curious. When you booked the hotel, did you book it for the millennium New Year?
NEWMAN: (smug) As a matter of fact, I did.
JERRY: Oh, that's interesting, because as everyone knows, since there was no year zero, the millennium doesn't begin until the year two-thousand and one. Which would make your party, one year late, and thus, quite lame.
All references in the show though, and there were a few, indicate that Newman and Kramer both had parties planned for 1999.
!
More from the script:
JERRY: By the way Newman, I'm just curious. Do you know who Tim Culpepper is?
NEWMAN: (smug) As a matter of fact, I do.
JERRY: Oh, that's interesting, because as everyone knows, since you're not contributing the forum in a positive manner, that means you don't know who Tim Culpepper is.
Didn't he have a thing for lactating women?

There is one thing I have always wondered about Seinfeld. I know it is one of those type of shows that makes references to real life people that the writers and producers knew. Well back in the late 90's and early 2000's I used to have a job delivering scripts and other items in Hollywood. I always remember some producer or executive who is named Joe Davola that I used to deliver packages to. I always wondered if that's where they got the name for the character Crazy Joe Davola.
The EWR is also shown on George's parents fridge in 'The Van' episode. ??
What is George's answering machine message and what is his message based on?
"Believe it or not, George isn't at home. Please leave a message at the beep"
to the theme of the Greatest American Hero (an early 80s TV show).

How does George manage to screw up the Yankees on-field performance?
To whom does George give batting tips (including taking swings in BP) and why does he have this ability?

Believe it or not, George isn't at home. Please leave a message at the beep. I must be out or I'd pick up the phone. Where could I be? Believe it or not I'm not home.
George convinced the Yanks to buy cotton uniforms, since the others were so scratchy. They worked great for a game, but they then shrunk, ruining the next on-field performance.
What kind of soup did George (succesfully) order from the soup nazi?
