Wow. Everyone can have opinions, but there are lots of people on this running board who have no understanding of the law. Today's decision correctly interpreted the Constitution. Now it's a matter for legislators to decide. Vote for the legislator who matches your views. Democracy is a great thing.
It’s all faux outrage. They’ve had plenty of time since 1973 to pass something concrete regarding abortion and never did. Now everyone wants to blame conservative justices for correctly sending the decision back to the states. Federalism is still a thing.

I'm not sure the federal government has the power to regulate abortion in either direction. But the reason the Democrats failed to get even 50 votes with their attempt earlier this year is because they tried to mandate legal abortions everywhere through all 9 months as long as the baby's big toe is still in the womb. This was an extreme position that only a small minority of the population supports.
That’s not true at least not in my state. All abortions are illegal no exceptions. If it’s an ectopic pregnancy you’re pretty much just dead. I’m hoping this gets fixed but that’s the status of the law as of 10AM this morning.
This is a lie and anyone spreading it is either doing it for drama or completely ignorant. Its not considered a pregnancy and usually called out as an exception at the state level. Even horrible ol texas specifically calls it ou
You’re just wrong. I don’t know what to tell you. The abortion statute on the books in my state which took effect provides no exceptions at this time. Again I expect this to change but unless a special session of the legislature is called, it won’t change until 2023 in my state. Abortions are automatically a felony punishable by not less than 3 nor more than 10 years incarceration period with no exceptions.
Yet, you still think a raped women should carry her baby to term. Telling.
You don't know what I think. If abortion proponents were advocating for only early-term abortions in extreme circumstances (i.e. rape or indirect abortion as medical treatment), I'd be more sympathetic to the pro-choice/anti-life position but they're not and the numbers are very clear that's not why people want abortion to be legal. In fact I would even be supportive instances of rape, but would be even more supportive of adoption in that case. However, abortion advocates use those extreme examples as red-herrings for what they really want, which is abortion as birth control so people can f*ck with no responsibility. I can tell just by my social media and who gets angriest whenever these abortion issues crop up, and it's always the village bikes who go out partying every weekend that go on the angry social media tirades.
I like f*cking as much as anyone else, I'm human, but is ending a life really worth my promiscuity to me? Nah, not really, and that's pretty sad that there are people out there that really need sex with strangers so badly that they're willing to rationalize killing innocent children over it. You really have to ask yourself what your values are if that's the case.
Classic “no women wants to f#*k me so I act like I’m making a moral choice”.
all of your other posts indicate you don’t give a crap about children . maybe you believe that but we know
Government has no place between a woman and her physician.
SCOTUS isn’t getting between a woman and her doctor. They’re telling the states and congress to take up the issue as it isn’t, nor should have ever been, a federal issue.

Are you obtuse? of course they are. They eliminated a right to privacy …they are allowing states to dictate healthcare. when abortion is a right (to privacy) it literally has zero impact on you. But just have to make women carry babies

By removing federal protection across the board, they ARE allowing government (state government) to get between a woman and her doctor.
Either protect it across the board, or give doctors complete autonomy to provide the procedures as they choose, regardless of state/state politics. That is reasonable and good practice medicine.

Abortion isn’t a constitutional right. The right to privacy argument was always a weak argument by the Supreme Court 50 years ago. RBG even knew this day would come.
The Supreme Court is sending this to the states. Don’t get mad at them, get mad at your state legislators if you don’t like where they line up on the issue. Vote them out and put people in power that agree with you.
It goes back to states rights. The country was founded on states having more rights and a less powerful central government. We've gone far from that since then.
While we're at it let states ban gay marriage, interracial marriage or anything else they deem morally questionable!
Alan
should states be allowed to bring back slavery too?

Is the 13th amendment still in existence? Is there an abortion regarding abortion?
