Does anyone consider Lafayette an appealing place to stay? Pay is below the poverty line and the head coach is a nightmare that hates X-country.
There's a reason why everyone that's worked for Curcio quit the coaching profession until this guy. Everyone in the league jokes that Lafayette is where distance coaches go to die.
to fire your men's distance coach right as the season is starting because you didn't see eye to eye with him on everything is absolutely ridiculous. she is leaving the entire distance program hurting very seriously because she is on a power trip, completely putting aside the well-being of her team for her own selfish reasons.
not everyone is cut out for being a director, she is a shining example of someone who has no idea what they are doing
I'm so confused by this Dartmouth situation. I see some back and forth about the distance coach but the job being advertised is for the sprint/hurdle position. Was Sean Gwi let go as well or is the plan to have 3 sprint coaches since the director is a sprint coach as well?

I can confirm he resigned and WAS NOT FIRED. I’ll let the news come out on its own. He’ll be fine.

If these schools would simply only hire distance coaches for their head coaching positions, everything would be better. I don’t understand why any school would hire someone that doesn’t make distance the priority

Why leave it open to speculation when you can tell us your super secret info about why he resigned? Based on recent posts, one would be led to believe that he resigned due to some sort of falling out with Dobson.

Sean Gwi was fired last month and Justin was forced to resign on Monday. I wonder who’s neck is on the chopping block next!
Dartmouth is over $83,000 a year ( https://admissions.dartmouth.edu/afford/cost-attendance ). Pretty amazing they will charge athletes this much, and at the same time won't be willing to pony up any extra money ( ~$8bn endowment ) to incentive a coach to come to Hanover last minute and give these athletes the experience they deserve, were promised, and paid for.
I ran at Buffalo State. This could be a good D3 opportunity, but I don't know if sprinter or jumper coaches get on this forum. The new head coach came from Clemson and taught my USATF Level 2 and 3 a few years ago.

Everyone knows that going all in on distance is the only way to gain respect on this board. If you think otherwise, you are foolish. Cross Country is clearly the superior sport and programs that focus on track are morons.
