Who you didn’t name that maybe got a lil lucky but has been successful is the BYU coach.
She's paid her dues. Ed Eyestone is the real deal and wouldn't offer a position to anyone if he didn't believe in it. Sometimes it's ok to be more lucky than good.
I agree with the "Anti-Bashers" on this thread. No need to tear someone down because they got hired, good for them and the best of luck. If they're not good, as the saying goes "Sh*t sinks, Cream rises". I'm all in for "constructive" criticism and calling out non-quality hiring, but keep it civil.
I will say, that for the sake of a program's success that some of these X-C/T & F Directors look at merit in addition to diversity and gender. At the end of the day, the program needs to succeed, and when you see very talented applicants being passed up due to appeasing either one's personal agenda or a school's it will eventually undercut the quality of the sport.
The job info posts are great, keep 'em coming.

You keep saying this. Is there something more to it? Did a coach say this to athlete?

Problem is I think a lot of athletes or former athlete get on here to bash coaches as well. This profession sucks so many kids who think they are entitled these days. It’s getting worse and you have to baby them. You can be extremely nice and understanding and someone will always come along and attempt to get you fired. Hopefully you are at a place that has your back. Think about that before going into this profession.
I agree and sometimes HCs are put in a bad spot. I believe some schools want to hire inexperienced females because they won’t push the needle they will just babysit and make sure the team shows up for meets *they could care less about performance.* Since I’ve been in the profession. I’ve looked at tfrrs for many of the female coaches that got jobs over me and I can honestly say my athletes have run head and shoulders above there’s it’s not even close!
Looks like this guy is getting it…but it’s not about the inexperienced females. It applies to anyone and everyone.

Yes and she keeps getting jobs
Brie Berkowitz from ECU to PSU
UH hired someone who has a college resume and who has coached in Texas high schools in the past. It's a name that is familiar in Texas.
I will never understand why people do this weird teasing thing where they give hints as to what information they have and then try to make people guess it. Either spill it, or stop clogging the thread with unnecessary information.
UNLV's new distance coach is Zaven O'Bryant.
Do you think he'll be able to get Wilson-Perteete to run faster than the 2:01 she ran as a freshman in 2018?
One of the Greens?

Nope , Because she won't be there for this person to coach her!

Why not? She only has one more year of eligibility and she hasn't transferred, and she hasn't gone pro. So who else would be coaching her?

In addition, his men's team was last and the women were 12th of 13 in the SEC Outdoor meet.

You can’t find a single former athlete or coach at Mizzou that has this guy’s back. You can’t find a single thing about the team’s performance to rationalize how he’s been kept on staff. Honestly, it’s beyond puzzling how athletic director after athletic director has come and gone without firing him. Maybe this new one that just got hired changes that. Otherwise, I’m flabbergasted by (and yet in awe of) his survival skills.

12th of 14. Vandy didn't score. TFRRS doesn't show a score of zero.
Regardless, it's still terrible.
