so come out with all of the best arguments for the “J6 was an insurrection” take. I know there are mountains of nonsense out there, but because you are bright, discerning, and reasonable, I’m sure you can wade through the detritus to get the best arguments from the other side. While I know they won’t be convincing, because you’re not convinced. but I’m sure you’re smart enough to discern the difference between a really good argument that you find convincing and something thrown out haphazardly by a fool.

find a few of those. identify and quote your sources. Bonus points if you find people really well-versed in law and politics generally, the constitution and civil disobedience in light of the first amendment specifically. If you bring in accounts of legal proceedings against the J6 protesters, take care to remember that you’re not preaching to the choir, but are trying to convince people who don’t automatically agree with you, so select your sources that reasonable people might consider neutral and objective, as far as that’s possible these days.

Let’s do another point by point basis:

1) Third grade math that is mathematically correct is the issue? It simply is a numbers game that a majority of Byrd’s supporters went to Trump out of the two elections.

3) Again, WE did not create racism. The legacy of racism that persists in the South voted majority for Trump as previously discussed, and I think people and culture are more permanent than the name they put their opinions under. Dixiecrat people are Republican people now.

4) People with a difference of opinion and clearly different values still have a right to be in the US and love our homeland. What I’m seeing from Trump is starting a wild faction kinda from nowhere circa 2015 (after a couple other failed bids in politics a la Reform Party) and speaking to people whose needs were not being met by Obama directly, and he was darn successful at it. I was not a part of this faction so it seemed kinda like it came from now where hence why I am bewildered and just want to stay here and protect my country.

Methodically laid out points with links to back it up are water off magas back. The answer will always be: lies, bias, and persecution of Trump. Laws don't matter to them. His own words and actions don't matter to them. They will always claim without proof the other side did the same illegal or immoral thing Trump is doing as justification.

That seems like a logical, earnest, and well-informed take. I’m sure others will show their respect by responding in kind, as they are eager to elevate the tone of the debate as the best means of working toward good outcomes for their fellow Americans. Because that’s exactly why one would engage on a political issue, right?
